  2. The fact that anyone thinks the reforging system was complex is laughable. There was nothing complicated about it. I loved it because it was a great way to give yourself more beneficial stats with a not BIS piece of gear.

  3. THIS was the BEST feature they ever did bring into the game. Its such a huge shame that they removed it. Especially with the RNG nowadays this feature would be amazing because you could always have something good coming out of trash loot. HUUUGE mistake that they removed it.

    And complex? Say what? It was only complex if you want to minmax everything out of it. And even then there were addons that did everything for you.

  4. They didn't get rid of it because it was bad. They got rid of it because it was good. People could get the gear they wanted sooner, which meant less motive to play. Many hard-core raiders quit the game during cataclysm and instead of blaming the actual issue, that the raids were punishing beyond all reason and had mechanics that meant mistakes would result in a wipe, but only after 10 minutes of fighting, thinking you'd be okay, the whole situation was so unfun and so miserable that most folks just stopped playing. My guild was full of lovely people and honestly, progression was so depressing because of endlessly stacking debuffs you'd almost get to the end over and over and over until everyone was tearing their hair out.

    Everyone quit the same week.

    Despite happily farming every raid in WOTLK.

    That's how bad it was. Cataclysm ruined everything.

    And they killed the only nice system in the game because it allowed people to stop farming sooner.

  5. Removed and in its place, the absolutely disgusting gear that was in wod dungeons. Oh you got a drop? Is it the right stat's? Nope better run it 100 more times to try get the 1 piece of the 6 possibilities

  6. Reforging was the best thing that happened. The implementation just sucked balls. Beeing able to change a bad stat, let's say Mastery, into a good one, let's say Haste, is a good thing. But not beeing able to do it right after you got a new piece of gear was stupid.
