I got an alt that I wanted to swap out of my heroic raid team. My main has 8 keys, my alt does not. My main no longer needs keys. My alt does. Blizzard needs to ask themselves, why are keys not warbound?
because the optimal way to play would be to have 50 characters, get as much keys as possible, and use them all on a single character. does that sounds fun? no. that's why it's not warbound
You can get the same amount of coffee keys on Alta.. and they already limit you 4 bountiful delve a day so it doesn’t matter how many keys you have you can only use 4 a day. And you only get x amount in a week,
After 1 week as a returning player (last played in shadowlands) I’m 594 without touching mythic plus or normal-mythic raids. Gearing is already a joke. You don’t need additional boosts to get geared, there’s already what, 5 different ways?? It’s ridiculous as is.
It's 100% time gating, but the keys are already borderline useless to me. I'm 614 now and was always well ahead of the average because I literally jusy stocked up on them in the early weeks, and only ran 8's in the first week of the season. It was extremely easy to get to 610-616 very quickly through delves if you just played the game.
anything that gears you up in a meaningful way is timegated, if you could help your alts with the keys that's less time grinding shards and less time committed to the subscription .
has nothing to do with managing. but all to do with making people play more.
The keys are easy enough to get. Imagine they want you to actually play your alt to do simple quests to obtain these keys. Omg.
They said why the coffer keyes are not Warbound.
They don't want to have systems that feel like you are losing if you don't have alts.
So if you had 5 alts you could funnel your characters five times faster than someone who had no alts.
This is a great philosophy to be honest.
Same reason that Crests and Valorstones are not warbound

What’s the problem with them not being war bound. Legit just do basic daily and weekly content and you’ll get them?
Keys take 10 secs to acquire so it really doesnt matter.

Warband or not doesn't with that logic, the bountiful delves already have a daily lockout., you can easily get 4 keys a day.
So you can play more

Blizz's way of doing warbound coffer keys is from the delvers journey, you can buy the keys eventually by transferring the delve currency.
I think you should really stop thinking about the delves, it was a first week content

Cause you would horde them. On one toon and you can only get like 7 a week
