  1. You are wasting your breath. They'll never get the message. Same with collectors same with-you name it-. The most hollistic experience that can be had in this game is when you play for fun and only doing content you actually like, regardless of gear or cosmetics. Cant blame people who play like that though because blizzard has been pushing this narrative and wont risk designing the game otherwise knowing they have to adhere to the same standard of players which is actually their main subscriber count.

  2. I'm finding more and more not to actually aim for something in game and just do stuff as it comes along.
The only thing I will follow and do religiously is the story line quests but anything else it as I go.
That way when I do hit a renown level that gives something decent it's a nicer feeling than the stress striving to get that particular thing.

  3. It honestly comes down to WHAT you want to be doing in a game. Some people enjoy farming gold. Some people enjoy farming mogs, mounts and pets. Some like achivements. Some like the social aspects of raiding with a guild.. Or do challenging stuff like the Fomo stuff.. Like the seasonal Mythic dungeon stuff. The problem is that the guy is focused way to much on doing things…. That dont really matter much. Like the seasonal mythic dungeon thing. Does he need it? Not really. He is doing it for the bragging rights and maybe the mount. But.. Does it mean anything. Not really. Since anyone can get it.. with some effort OR.. Gold. Like right now i have done the wow 20th aniversiry bronze currency farm. I bought all the armor sets. Mounts, pets and the mog wepons. So im technically done. But i still have much i CAN do. Like the secrets, the achivements for the event. But i have time. And i also still have a couple of alts to level. Im an althoholic. So i have 2 of each class. For easier mog farming in current seasons of raiding. I dont focus that much on the fomo stuff in general. Because i play alone. Solo. Feeling it much more enjoyable. Because i dont have any preasure from anyone to do this or do that. Or needing to care about others when i play. LIke i cant do this new raid. Because my friend isnt online. I dont have that issue. I just do what i enjoy. Or Not play the game at all. Like right now since i have done the bronze currency farm. I can log into the game play for maybe.. 30 minutes.. And then play something else. Right now im enjoying Stardew Valley. A game i got a long time ago.. And still need to platinum it. So i enjoy that one. So i can later come back to wow and enjoy that. In everything that i has to offer.

  4. When the tank pulls all the adds up to the first boss in a M+ cuz that's the meta, and everyone dies 😀
or when that one dps that keeps dying finally leaves on the second to last boss cuz they 'suddenly' can't take it anymore, as if it was a surprised at that point…

  5. I think wow was never meant to be played like this. At its core it's a login and do what you can not do every single thing possible. Playing wow is like running multiple battle passes at the same time.

  6. I'm sorry but dragon riding is ruining the game for me, I do not use it if not in hurry to pvp chest or something like that and I do not like professions, because they require a lot of time from me to make gold from them and since there is no way to earn gold in m+ or raid unless we do boosting, we are basically forced to buy a token to be able to raid. I believe this is intended and it's built purely on greed. The new profession system is tedious for a reason. This is the reason.

  7. I'm not a min-maxer, but as soon as I hit cap and those quests stop giving XP they suddenly become a lot harder to do. And I read quest texts and do my best to enjoy them too. Just getting a pittance of gold and maybe a junk piece of gear that's only good for transmog doesn't feel as satisfying. I think Blizzard needs to find a way to provide some new incentives. For example, if a cap character does quests, maybe they can store the XP/"levels" and grant that to their alts? That way I don't feel pressured to do side quests on leveling alts instead of my main to make them actually feel rewarding. Blizzard actually did something similar in the past with recruit a friend where your recruited friend could grant you 1 level for every 2 they had acquired, so this is something they could do.

  8. This exp I stopped my gear at Hero tier because I'm really not feeling doing +10 to get Myth level gear on the vault, blizzard lost me there. Past expansion I did a lot of +10 and +20 before that, because the gear progression was a bit easier, now is a bit hardcore for me.

  9. 3rd party RMT that gives kickbacks to dev insiders that operates for a profit against the player base using cheats, scripts, que syncing, 3rd party queue tracking/sniping, social media control, narrative crafting, astroturfing, and media hit pieces is actually ruining my experience. Also just the complete bongwater PvP devs that do virtually nothing except patch in game breaking "bugs" and exploits to lubricate the RMT process for their boys. One of the most outdated and utterly trash matchmaking systems ever concieved. Again the person who made solo shuffle created a system that resulted in a 5hr 49 minute queue @ 2352cr w2 s1 of DF. WHOEVER WAS IN CHARGE OF THAT SHOULD NEVER WORK IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY AGAIN THAT IS THE PINNACLE OF FAILURE.

  10. I specifically play in a way where I’m never min maxed. I love playing to get pets, transmogs, and mounts. I love cooking and finding the quests that just help npcs cuz it makes me feel good. I love finding the irradiated mycobloom and other stuff. It’s really fun for me. Plus follower dungeons have made it so I can learn the way the dungeon goes before I go with other people.

  11. I quit playing after the first week because people where just quitting out after the first boss in almost every dungeon and it was mostly tank and healers its just super dumb that people are minmaxing like that and ruining other players fun in the game and because of this i may never come back to WOW the community is just way to toxic.

  12. i would argue that requiring incentive to engage in content is not "min maxing". if the content is dogwater (like 90% of wow's content because their writers are backed into a corner with the weight of the shit lore and world) and it's just simply UNFUN to engage with… i need a reason to do it. "in this game you pay for to have fun, you arent engaging with the unfun aspects. whats wrong with you? why do you need to be rewarded for WORKING?!?!"

  14. I'm 5 minutes and nah, gathering sucks. All I do is look at my mini-map whilst not enjoying the world at all because I'm not looking at it. Death to the mini map node shit and just make the nodes even more visible when actually looking at the not-top-right-corner-of-your-screen!

  15. You only get 1 vigor for gathering. Its not enough for me though. I need like 2 vigor in order to hit that sweet spot of filling back up. One vigor to launch and the other vigor to get enough altitude to then aim down for the sweet spot. It's easier when I start at higher altitude so you dont need to use the second one. So i tend to run out of vigor on the ground if i'm stopping for other stuff besides gathering.

  16. I cant stand dragonriding because its so psychotic. I went to pick up my husband on 2 chars from the starting area to take him to town and I had to rest and wait for vigor both times. I just hate it to be honest. It would be better if the game didnt have vigor in it so you could choose to fly a skitzo dragon and not have penalties for it. It would also be better if we actually had portals to go to special events and then portals to go back to the Dorn after were done. Right now, I have to go through a maze to get anywhere. Why don't we have runebooks where we can mark a rune in the world and recall back there – like Ultima Online thats like 30+ years old.. The talent that Vulpera have – except theres no cooldown and anyone can make a portal from their runebook from any mark in the world! THEN the world would be FUN and you could get massive groups anywhere quickly. Right now the traveling and ADHD and skitzo flying is painful for me.

  17. I'm having more fun in WoW than ever before. I refuse to be defined by the meta, I won't even step foot in M+. I play the class/spec I want and do pretty solid DPS for the group I play with. As I have told people in the past, if my damage is what is preventing us from clearing content, then I will change how I play. Until then people who want to pressure me into playing a game the way they want to do it, can go kick rocks. Those folks can go push M+ keys and do Mythic raiding 5 nights a week in meta specs with specific group compositions if that makes them happy. No worries.
