  1. I have enjoyed ESO from the beginning and when they added housing I found a whole new way to play the game. It has been an evolution in progress. I am excited to see how it gets done in WoW. I have a house addiction in ESO, and it is lucrative as well for the game maker. Is the fact that Microsoft owns both a possible influence? I belong to a guild in ESO that is all about housing. I think this will give people a new way to experience WoW, and it doesn't have to be for everyone.

  2. I can't deal with laggy cities any longer, my PC is old. A cabin by the ocean, with a little yard to plant stuff would be great, all my warband there as well, what an exciting feature!

  3. I just rewatched this for like the 5th time and I am still tearing up at the thought. I am overjoyed just that it is a thing that's coming. I want everything for this to be a long-term, evergreen, growing feature, where EVENTUALLY we get it all. But I will be happy just to see it BE whatever form it takes.

  4. I have been wanting player housing for well over a decade. But a big part of me thinks that they are just going to go half assed and disappoint us all. If ever they needed a community committee to tell them what we want, this is it.

  5. Never really understood housing. Still use my Garrison now and then. Would be nice if it received some upgrades like current portals and crafting tables. The seaport could connect to other continents as well.

  6. i also wonder where the player's house will go and how will it work . what i mean ok most people have a Main and Alts will they all share the house account wide then like you said can we put things in the house and do the houses have different sizes . i wonder if the house will be very basic at the start and maybe able to pick a characters races Furniture or mix it up . i also wonder if it be a area like the Garrison and thing you could built stuff on like a bigger house then have stuff you could do in the yard or that will be in the Last Titan . me i just want a place where you could place some of your characters stuff down can't wait for the house and still have a bunch of questions

  7. I'm a big fan of more things to do but have never really been a big fan of player housing in games. New World I got into the most but I used it for awhile then forgot about it. Hopefully they have a plan to one up the competition, we'll see I guess.

  8. Both faction garrisons had what I thought were going to be trophy rooms and I thought that's where Blizzard was originally headed with them but then – nothing. For the Horde is the little side room in the Tier 3 main building and for the Alliance it's the door straight from the main door and then to the right. Like there are platforms for statues and empty plaques on the wall. Maybe if they give us stuff for the housing walls and floor, they will finish the garrison one too, and we can put them there as well?

  9. Sadly, I don't see it turning out well due to the massive number of players. I'm coming from a place of being spoiled by MMOs that do player housing RIGHT. SWG allowed you to plant your flag on ANY habitable spot in the game but only worked because each server was a fairly blank canvas with the focus on player made content. FFXIV stole a lot from WoW in terms of gameplay but they did manage to sneak in original content like player housing that I got to enjoy from day one of it being released. It is easily my favorite spin on player housing because it was fully customizable internally and externally, within item limit parameters based on your housing plot size. Now that it has become way more popular and I stepped away from it maybe 9 years ago at this point, it's much more tedious to obtain and my house is long gone. Suffice to say, WoW could never pull that off given the sheer size of the population here and sadly: I'd be willing to bet all we're getting is a small shack instance, with limited customization a la garrisons.

FFXI did player housing like this and it was pretty mediocre even 20+ years ago.

  10. It's about time we got player housing in WoW. Although, I do hope it'll be an evergreen feature, not just an expansion feature like the Garrison. At least Ion confirmed in Taliesin's interview, it will have more visual styles than just Alliance/Horde, and you should be able to build it wherever you want.

  11. I hope Blizz knows what they got themselves in to. It's one of the most hoped for features almost since wow launched. The hopes and dreams that have built up in players heads is impossible to live up to. On top of that it's the first expansion feature they announced. We currently know 2 things about Midnight:
    1. The expansion name is Midnight
    2. Player housing
That makes it the most hyped up feature and gives player's imaginations even more time to go wild.
Don't get me wrong, i am excited for the new feature, just saying it's gonna be a sh**show at launch.

  12. I guess? so, in the next expansions does your housing move on? or are you stuck going back to an old expansion to use it or are you starting over??.. I would have been happier with a full-scale color wheel to dye old gear to fit the more modern colors.
