Is Borrowed Power Ruining WoW? | World of Warcraft Shadowlands

Read more about Shadowlands ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.tv

Through-out most of World of Warcraft your character’s power would continually increase each patch and every new expansion. Eventually though, it would seem that Blizzard would introduce systems that would last for the current expansions life, and when removed, would take all growth during those 2 years away. Welcome to the realm of borrowed power. Borrowed power, borrowed power, borrowed power. You can’t spend more than 3, maybe 4, definitely not 5 seconds reading or watching any coverage on the state of Shadowlands without hearing that phrase slammed into your ear. Borrowed power.

  1. Interesting seeing you pull in Gw2 as an example, having spent a number of hours in that game that im frankly, ashamed of to even say howmuch. I feel they're both (Wow and GW) on the complete opposite of the scale, i stopped playing gw2 since there was nothing i felt still had meaning, it all ended up just being cosmetics which didnt, for me atleast do it. Whereas WoW (current atleast) just skips from xpac to xpac. Neither game in my opinion did the reward structure well, Guildwars is just running out of stuff to do once you get the new masteries and done the story which usually doesnt take that long esp with how distant releases are, since when you have one set of gear, you basically have everything. And WoW just overdoes the "go redo all your work" every xpac.
