These are easy tips you can implement to start climbing rating in Shadowlands Arena & begin upgrading your gear. Understanding every class’s major cooldowns, and reacting appropriately, is extremely important in competitive WoW PvP. Using the Omnibar addon, you can discover every important spell of each class, and begin tracking them. Additionally, you also must understand the script of the arena composition you are playing. Having a consistent clean set up is very important when trying to force specific cooldowns. Finally, being cautious of your Gladiator’s Medallion can prevent you from throwing unnecessary matches.

  1. It is all about ignorance. Ignorance alone. First, omnibar does not help in the slightest for new players (including myself), because they (we) do not know the abilities of their (our) opponents (and team mates). Omnibar only shows "some random icons" that new players do not know what mean. How would a new player know what Kedney shot does if they have only leveled a shaman and a dk.
Second, new players do not intentionally waste their trinket … they are ignorant about their opponent's abilities and are therefore afraid of being nuked. In my opinion, if WoW had a "view all abilities tap" (like in League) this video would not be necessary.
“Know your scipt" is to me like saying “Get good”.

  3. just play something like warrior, monk or fire mage and you can hit 3k rating without even turning your monitor on, rating doesnt mean anything in shadowlands since it doesnt reflect player skill, only the class they are playing

  4. THIS dude. THIS. So tired of "pvp guides for class x" where all they do is teach you which races to play and what your rotation is (ie something we can learn from the armory or watching a stream). What the people who really want to improve at arena need is content like this: actionable advice on how to improve gameplay.

  5. As always, awesome video, Stoopz. Thank you so much! Question, do you think tracking defensives instead of offensives can impact negatively in one's progression/learning? The way I track CDs is that, I use BigDebuffs to track offensive (since they pop right next to nameplates) and OmniBar to track the defensive ones so I know what my team has taken away from them so we can plan the kill setup.

  6. Wow 13minutes of stuff completely unrelated to climbing in WoW PvP. Quick revision
    Tip 1: Play the meta.
Tip 2: Play the start of the season.
Tip 3: If you don't do 1&2 then pay to get boosted.

Seriously though…. "Climbing" isn't something you can really do with the current MMR system, you can have a 70% win rate but still be hard stuck 1400 if you didnt get that win rate in your first 30 games in the first week of the season.
