mages are so under tuned atm, if shadowland were to go live atm, most competitive raid groups will only bring one mage for arcane int and lust that's it, they def need some number tweaking before release
I love frost mage and dont mind it being similar to how it is now
Garbage, I will keep playing Final Fantasy.
Mages in beta right now: Arcane: damage is not bad, clunky setup, feels horrible to play; Frost: feels good to play but super undertuned; Fire: legendaires bugged, crit bugged, a bit unplayable atm

I wish they'd just give frost instant blizzard already, destro lock gets instant rain of fire, moonkin gets instant starfall both with enough resources. That tier set from legion was the closest they got with making it instant after casting frozen orb

Arcane has too many gcd just to start blasting, thats a major problem.
Are you guys haveing a feeling that arcane is something that if would get deleted no one would complain ? The gameplay is boring so hard i was feeling like deleting the character and never playing mage again. Good that i like fire. Blizzard neeeeeeds to rework arcane its so stupid .

What add on is that with the enemy health bar being so big and clickable
it'd be nice if they could work on frost mages and having to waste procs with flurry or fingers of frost
Let me guess before watching the video. Mages are amazing beyond words. Over tuned and king of kings that all shall bow before. What else is new. Mages will be gods, it's Blizzards plan. I have come to realize this. You should too.

To be honest I dont feel mages are in a good spot right now. I do not feel the "unpruning" at all. Making spells baseline is fine but if I never need to use them what's the point? Fire is broken as a spec once again and we hope it's gonna get "fixed" with legendaries and gear again, but the base of the spec,simply isn't working. It feels even worse than 8.0 fire. Arcane seems much better overall but all those GCDs are ridiculous. Frost seems fine I guess but almost no changes from BFA is gonna make it a bit boring. We hope legendaries are gonna fix that again. Not to mention most mage covenant abilities are among the worst in beta right now. Somehow Blizzard and almost everyone who doesn't play a mage think tuning one class' numbers for it to overperform , instantly makes it good
The only reason fire mage did a lot of damage was due to corruption now with corruption gone fire won't be viable anymore, it's not just fire mage but whole mage class is in a bad spot right now.
Going to be playing arcane regardless. Just fix the gcd issue and I'll be happy

fire mage in shadowlands is a paper bag vs anything i am not impressed with blizzard suck shit company anymore. Survivability as a fire mage is terrible. I know i leveled up as one in shadowlands and i am playing one fire is weak
I've said it before and i'll say it again, frost is a hardcasting, cooldown heavy, proc reliant, aoe reliant, builder spender, that's very underwhelming without the necessary borrowed power (E.g. legendarys going into shadowlands). Yeah i'm just gonna play lock this expansion, all the specs seem to be fun and viable especially in pvp.
Why can’t they just buff the frost mage they are supper weak they need to buff them more than any other

So just curious, all mages have fireball and frostbolt again but did blizzard actually give you any reason to ever cast either if you're not in that specific spec?

"Fire mage were good through the majority of BFA" that's not true! Why do I keep hearing that ? That was an absolute nightmare at first. One word : mechagon. it was good when you we had double the pyros during combustion due to the bracelets.
