  1. WoW is the most played game in my life, been playing pretty steadily for over a decade now.. I just dont even want to open it anymore, imho this is by far the worst the game has ever been. I dont want to jump through hoops to play, ill just play literally anything else because its more fun. I had a 6mo sub before SL, its about to run out and i think its about time i vote with my wallet and just hold out for next xpac. Maybe by then i wont care anymore, theres other games to give my time to that actually respect my time and skill instead of competitive modes just being gearchecks

  2. Some companies hire people that played their game for years just to get their feedback, idk how the fk blizzard didnt hired/say something to asmon to get any tips for the game, hell even runescape send him a LOT of awesome stuff only for playing the game a few times/saying good stuff for the game .
More than that , its like they are ignoring him on purpose, idk what the fk happend with blizzard that this late 5 years it feels that they have the fantasy to "know" better than the playerbase , how the game is suposed to be better and fun and we are just wrong and have bad tastes , just wtf.
Just need to see Diablo imortal and the TBC thing , who is the fucking idiot who thought that a movile game in a FULL PC COMUNITY would be a good idea or the changes in TBC classic? Its just pathetic.
I really hope that one day one MMO beats the ass of WoW , not for make it die , only because WoW has been in the throne enought years and of course "If we are the king and no one can beat us , its because we are gods… what is that? the comunity opinion? We dont need that , they will come back even if we dont listen…"
And being that much time builds ego and make the developers dont work his best, they need something to compete or to say "sht if we dont do our best X game coud be the king this year" etc.
And i never saw asmon like this before , he looks but really looks tired, before he just was complaining about things but now you feel ansmon tired, and if this person is tired… the future of this game seems rotten.
I really hope that he gets a game (or even wow getting better) where he enjoy the game, i dont want to reach a point where asmons just says "Good bye everyone" because 80% of his viewers see his streams because he is the person in front of the camera, because is really a fun time and a awesome person , i really enjoy his streams.

  3. This is why Riot Games is going to steal the entire MMORPG player base when they release their MMO. The day of that release, WoW will be dead. Sad, but true.

  4. I'm still missing the WORLD in World of warcraft. Can't force my self to play retail for more than 20 min before switching to my 40 rogue in classic and Explore and Interact with the world and other players.

  5. great video. i can't believe you made it the entire way through without mentioning the removal of master loot lol. i kept thinking you would bring it up as an example of the pattern where they implement something either incorrectly, or that no one asked for. at a minimum, guild groups should be able to master loot, end of discussion. but here we are.

  6. Everyone just needs to unsub its as simple as that. Blizzard won't last forever they have been running on fumes for more than long enough. Tbc will be okay but new versions of the game are cursed.

  7. I was looking at wow reddit, how many years ago Ion made a post he wanted to communicate and make it a regular thing, that didn't even last at all. He was forced to do it, he doesn't want to do it because he knows the game is in a shit state and he would get flamed in the QnAs. They can't remove him because his philosophies get the company money, he time gates so that people are forced to extend their subs meaning they get more money. At this point, its clear as day that they are farming the remaining zombies/addicts who can't quit the game. They don't even hire a proper team like the path of exile one because they know wow brings way more money than it should and they keep it that way, instead of expanding the team and having a proper team of 20 for pvp and load for pve.

  8. On top of design issues I would like to remind they made the game p2w in Legion with tokens. Don't worry though, Zack. Rabbid fanboys will defend the game to death and then some.

  9. Ion needs to answer those 2 questions Zack proposed. "Why were the corruption vendors on a rotation?", and "Why is conduit energy in the game?" Those are just 2 of many, but are a perfect microcosm of what is wrong with WoW. "Blizzard is solving problems players don't have by using solutions player's don't want." This is the best part…God, I really hope Ion watches this…

  10. Been saying this for a while now, someone needs to just buy out the WoW IP from Blizzard so maybe this game can become good again. Activison Blizzard is just a company that cant and also doesnt want to make a good game anymore because of the way how big corporations work these days. So long as the game continues to be property of Acti-Blizz, it will forever be in this state of slow and constant decline. The goal isn't to make a good, fun and exciting game to play anymore, its instead attempting to inflate certain metrics which are important only to shareholders and investors but in the real world they actually mean absolutely nothing because ultimately the game has just become unfun and bad.

  11. They've never been agile with their changes. I never understood why you have balancing patches or any patches only for the major addons. I feel like things should be adressed in a matter of a few days and changed. Even if it's only for things not go stale.

  12. They aren’t stupid. They make broken or incomplete systems on purpose to mask their slot machine addiction mechanics to pump up the hours their users play. Then they can “fix it” later and everyone is all happy.

  13. You took the words right out of my mouth. I agree with everything you said. It's how I've been feeling for a while. When I saw the Ion/Preach interview, I came out of it feeling angry and disappointed because I had been excited about 9.1 and Ion deflated the wind out of my sails. Ion made it very clear through his joking over the memes that they DO hear the player feedback, but then during the questions he'd say the feedback they've received is X when it's really Y, just so they can justify systems in the game that make no sense that they know everyone is unhappy with.

I've come to believe they do this for one reason alone… to come in later and make it as the players ask just to provide a false sense of content so they do not have to develop something new later in the xpac to keep it exciting. It's literally, "Here, let me give you a bag of shit even though you asked for and we promised a large bag of candy. Oh… you think this shit stinks… well in patch .1 we'll give you some scented oils to make your experience smell better. Oh… that's still not good enough… well in patch .2 we'll give you a peppermint to suck on while you play with this shit just to take the bad taste out of your mouth. Oh… the peppermint and scented oils are still not working to cover up the shit… well in patch .3 we'll finally give you a teeny tiny bag of candy…" and then everyone cheers because it's "new content" and they're finally "listening."

It's BS and I'm tired. I'm far too old now to be placated by scented oils and peppermints like I would have been 10 years ago. I want to have faith that 9.1 will be enjoyable, but I just don't trust them anymore. I pray I'm wrong, because I truly do love WoW, but if 9.1 turns into just another scented oil… I'll probably miss out on TBC too because I'd be unsubbing for good this time.

  14. State of Shadowlands, in my opinion:
-Mythic +s aren't worth doing, except for the weekly chest. Getting 207 ilvl gear for doing a +14 isn't helping anyone, you need a higher ilvl to even do that content. The game has been out long enough for any character to have had enough weeks to get 226 gear for each slot from the mythic chest as well, so what's the point of farming further?
-Raids basically require gear equivalent to the level of gear it drops, and doesn't really even drop the gear reliably. I remember 4 people getting gear the first week we did raids, then we saw a patch that said "Nerfing raid drops because too much gear is dropping." So you're going in with 226 items attempting to kill a boss for 213 gear that rarely drops, and losing to the bosses if you mess up.
-I've never been big on PvP so I don't have an opinion on it.

-Valor came out a whole patch later to let you upgrade gear – back to the "gonna wait a patch to string out subscribes."
-Valor can let you upgrade any gear to 220 if it's from a dungeon. I like this, since it helps you get the gear you want, and doesn't force you to rely on weekly chests. However, this means that doing a +2 can give you better gear than doing a Heroic raid.
-Raids don't have valor. You get 213 gear that isn't useful for you since you already outgear it, unless you've progressed into mythic raiding. Every benefit that you get from valor immediately becomes a negative for raid. Raid is in a really bad state right now because you might spend 3 hours trying to kill heroic Danny for a 220 gear, which is below all of your other items, and then only 2 people in your entire raid group will get loot.

  15. blizzard should setup a poll booth like oldschool runescape has, i think it helps create a healthy feedback from majority of the community when it comes it minor and major changes.

  16. Shadowlands is my first expansion on retail. Basically i spend my time doing castle nathria. Raiding the same raid on multiple characters cause its better then farming world quests or other tedious systems which i dont care about at all.

  17. Ahh man you made realize how the player base has taken the game hostage to the point where the devs don't know what to do any more, getting feed back from players suggestion is one thing but listening and going back and fourth with an elite player base that don't know what they want or what they are doing. It's probably to late for wow, I've been coming and going since I quit in cata.

  18. Agree with pretty much everything else said here. It's why I stopped playing about mid January. As someone who has played WoW off and on since Vanilla came out, I believe this game has passed me by. It's entirely too samey and cyclical.
