How to Unlock Allied Races in Shadowlands: Highmountain Tauren & Nightborne

Read more about Shadowlands ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.gg

Battle for Azeroth was the expansion that introduced the concept of allied races. With 10 new races which are unlocked in different ways, it can be a little tough to get started. So, in this guide series, I will go over how to unlock each of the allied races in Shadowlands 9.1, in as simple and easy a manner as possible.
I’ll also mention some of the so-far datamined details concerning patch 9.1.5, which will bring some quality-of-life changes to unlocking the allied races.
For this video, I’ll be talking about the Highmountain Tauren and the Nightborne.

As always, feel free to leave questions or comments in the section below. Enjoy ^^

  1. Great video, for the highmountain i completed the achievement with an alliance character, and then when my first horde character reach lvl 45, i had the mision to unlock them. I have been told that the achievements for highmountain tauren and nightborne are account-wide

  2. Really enjoyed your video. Pro-tip for the Nightbourne… Collect those mana nodes lol. I didn't listen to you & ended up back tracking to do some farming. Cheers.
Ps. The link to the Suramar guide absolute gold… Cheers once again:)

  3. Just a PSA for Nightborne specifically, I just unlocked them and can confirm it will take around 4-6 hrs depending on your speed of questing. Revered reputation for them is not required as has been said on websites/videos BUT just doing the Questlines you will get revered regardless. The only wall you will hit is with the Ancient Mana you pick up throughout Suramar but If you farm for a few minutes withing Suramar you will easily pass that up no issues. I am so grateful I didn't do this way back before the requirement nerfs AND for flying.
Edit: Also there are quest in chapter 7-8 that apparently are not required anymore and the achievement will skip by them and let you continue on. Such as the Khadgar mission table quest for Elesandre's Retort as well as the Night hold requirement.

  4. One thing that really frustrates me about your video is you never stated that you have to complete "Good Suramaritan" AND "Nightfallen, but not Forgotten" in order to get Insurrection. I was going through these questlines then checked up on Insurrection only to find everything in Insurrection still grayed out and took a good bit of sleuthing to figure out that those achievements also need to be done BEFORE Insurrection. That's a pretty heavy detail you completely left out of your video.

  5. I just finished the khadgar questline starting with Khadgar's discovery and ending with ancient mana, what now? There is literally not a singel quest for me in suramar to start the achivement

  6. you DO HAVE to grind to get rep so not sure why all these videos lie about not needing it, I'm told I need REVERED before it will even give me the rest of the quests
