Never thought I would actually say this but looks like the new night elven capital is going to be a Horde city as well as an Alliance one and despite the recent truce and all people aren’t exactly happy. Previous datamined hints were right, the new city is on the Dragon isles right undernearth Amirdrassil and despite the controversies it actually looks great. It isn’t named Darnassus but Bel’ameth and it is gigantic with so many new models, so many new NPCs and even a night elven paladin that we had just discovered. This is the PTR of course but most of the city is actually there, with some encryptions and bits that are work in progress but let’s see what this new city looks like, why exactly is it neutral and how this seems like a setup for most cities becoming neutral in the future.

  1. If this is the replacement for Darnassus it makes sense. 1. This city owes asmuch to Horde champions as it does to Alliance and 2. If the Night Elf world PVP achievement is moved here, it would be in a spot that's hostile to Horde.

  2. I'm mainly a high elf guy(blood and void elves included) but what they've been doing to the night elves recently is just sad, they take L after L, they were so cool in wc3 but now they don't even get their unique purple trees and stuff, it's all just green now.

  3. Interesting that it could be neutral. For elves, that actually makes a lot of sense. Blizz has said that they have plans for Silvermoon, as well (finally). With there already having been neutral elves, albeit not playable as such, and some reconciliation among the elf factions, it makes sense that at least some elf cities being neutral or divided (like Shattrath). It might very well indicate a big change with Lordaeron and Undercity, too, no? Even if very little of them is neutral, that makes lore and roleplay match better—or at least that fits with my assumptions about Forsaken and Humans learning to live near one another, if not all that much intermixed (remember how well the meeting went in Arathi, aside from Sylvanas making it worse, I mean. 😛

  4. Hey Doran, a little correction for you , Night Elves , Blood Elves and the Crack Elves all descended from Trolls , they all used to be Trolls and split from there to make the new races of the elf variety. just figured id add this info .

  6. Alliance players still crying 24/7 like their king while the Horde gets every single of it's leaders killed or turned ''evil'', God forbid anything bad happens on a game called Warcraft… How can you be so attached to a city is beyond me, I've been playing this game 20 years and I could not care less if Orgrimmar gets nuked for plot reasons… Everything is safe now because people can't handle fictional tragedy, cool I guess.

  7. Don't worry guys, they were morally grey when they blew up the druids in stonetalon, bombed theramore, plagued Gilneas, blew up the vale of eternal blossoms, and burned teldrassil.
I mean, it's not like the forsaken are still making plague with absolutely zero remorse, or that orgrimmar continues to clearcut ashenvale.
THIS time, they for sure double no backsies won't be a raid boss.

  8. I think the issue that people are having with the night elves and the hoard is that Sylvanas was under orders, from social so all and the horde were following his orders and doing his bidding so everybody who is tied to, that really doesn’t have any true ramifications they were just following orders. Also, the big issue that everybody’s having with neutral cities, and this be the night city being a horde city as well is everybody’s forgetting we might be getting player housing, and the best way to do that to introduce it into the new starting, which is dragon flight’s dragon isles. New cities will add more as the world soul saga marches on.

  9. If the beta Alliance players don't like it, I can burn that tree too. Then the Horde won't have a reason to come back.
    XD
But then they might as well go live in their burnt tree so I guess they need to get the wad out of their panties.
We got a more important problem, they mess up the lore and made blue girl bad to they could compare her to their orange man bad political ideology, as a result we now have some pathetic Usurper trying to lead the Forsaken, we need to correct that and bring the Dark Lady back to her glory.

  10. Merithra said: Amirdrassil "Crown of Harmony", grown of two realms, a window between life and death. Thats why you see npc dark rangers but they are night elves, thats why you see death knights but night elves. Its NOT Horde city, Horde players will be attacked by guards.
