  1. its crazy to me that bliz has never capitalized on the ip with a single-player open-world adventure rpg style game. i know it just makes more sense to focus all that energy/resources on the main game but there are so many story lines that have taken place before the events of the game that i feel like it could be cool to explore in a super polished and isolated single player experience

  2. But WoW 2 doesn't need to be made with hyper realistic graphics of THIS time, one of the charm with WoW still is even when a lot of people hate blizzard, is the fact that it is made timeless. Sure the vanilla graphics are ass nowadays, but it still is good enough for people to enjoy it. The argument here is that a lot of games die graphics wise, if they choose to go with hyper realism, just remember guild wars, start wars etc..

What WoW 2 needs is another timeless design, with some graphical upgrades to lighting, shadows, skybox and so on. Blizzard knew this way back and they do it with their other releases also.

  3. Blizzard is dead. Most of all original producers of WoW left.

Blizzard is now owned by Microsoft. For god sake change the company name… (Blizz) and stop dreaming about a better product (WoW2) that would be made by business maker and not the initial strongly creative and dedicated team behind WoW.

  4. What Would World of Warcraft 2 Look Like? if people would build games like these and not chase the biggest and easiest ways of making money, if company would focus on creating insane big beautiful worlds instead of the next candy crush on ur mobile phone. oh capitalism i love you but why do you take everything from us in the end?

  5. I love WoW, but I don't like the combat mechanics. It can get boring and repetitive, making it a hassle to fight mobs protecting those Ores or Herbs I want to farm. But everything else about the game makes me come back to it and play it so much.

I can't imagine the amazing game a WoW 2 would be if the combat mechanics were smooth and felt really great on every class. How you would feel like a real deadly and agile Rouge hopping place to place and using the environment and actually sneaking up on enemies as stealth instead of a simple Stealth spell. How you would feel so powerful with your spells as a Mage and be able to do combos and use the environmental effects more to your will, maybe even mix them to create your own spells.

Then have the dungeons and the world overall have great atmosphere. Have the FPS camera be improved. Then what if the story was actually interesting and well done, so that your first playthrough of the story was not skipped?

  6. Imagine trying to actually run on obtainable consumer hardware at a reasonable frame-rate when anything is actually happening on screen. Or at all. With 20 other players. Graphics don't need to improve like this. Just an unnecessary burden on art teams to create and players to run. You don't need to push more polygons and get higher resolution textures with more demanding lighting to make a game look good, you just gotta make things look good. Better textures not bigger. Better models not more. Smarter lighting not extensive.

  7. If this ever happened the launch of it would be the largest event in gaming history. Almost 20 years of players all coming back to Azeroth at once. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

  8. It's beautiful no doubt, fantastic works, but it would be anything BUT world of warcraft, because style is a cornerstone of game perception, certain feeling of it, and only then goes character/building/game objects design, which guys preserve, and this is nice. Like this render is great, but it has no author hand in it, looks generic thing you could find in any modern game
For example Stormwind part, without context – Is it Kingdom Come? is it Mount&Blade? Is it Witcher? Dragon Age? TES VI?

  9. While this is beyond amazing, it wouldn't work on the potato PC that 95% of the WoW community use. Using UE 5.3 with nanite you may be able to get it to run good on some, but I think you would have to go the World of Tanks route where they offer and SD and HD version of the game.
