We import a bunch ammolite rough to sell to our jewelers and I cant argue the fact with you. People really do love it, personally I really enjoy working who large chunks of it by hand. Im working on a 33lb piece right now that is all rainbow. Its easy to work and truly satisfying watching those colors come out as you work it down.
Had no idea it is only found in Alberta, so cool seeing such a huge intact ammolite . Israel’s magically peaceful “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” is perfect for this colorful mineral!
Anyone who likes this & gets the chance to go, New York's Natural History museum has a really nice one in a case that you can walk around a bit. It's been a while since I was there, but if you have trouble finding it, you want the room with the boat! (You can search "ny-museum-of-natural-history ammolite" to see it, but it's not the same as RL) Btw, I reported the nasty personal comment directed @ Dan below.

Wow! That’s probably my favorite of all the gems stones I’ve seen on your channel beside gold of course.
I appreciate the soundtrack by the late Israel.
Opal funny how we can find bones from tinosurses from so called billions of years, but we can't find bones of the Mayans, or the so called crusader 😮
Wake up please 🙏 people 😢
That massive fossel is amazing
Looks like dichroic glass!!!
Dan needs to shave that dirty face rug off.
The Royal Canadian Navy has fired on it's target range in Alberta since WW-1.
The lead from the bullets leach out of the soil and into the shells, turning them rainbow colors.
The lead then leaches into the skin of people who wear that jewelry.
😢
Now I start to wonder, how labradorite gets formed
Honestly u can find everything u want in canada not gonna lie.
Second best gem in the world.
It's also Alberta's official gemstone
