  1. the issue with me is that is not world of warcraft, is not a 10.26 feature is another game entirely a battle royale game, nothing to do with my character progression.

  2. plunderstorm
    PROS:
trying so new in game off season game type ( potential )

    CONS:
its FOMO when they next do this it will come with a battle pass for money to increase renown gains (if you think they wont you are a blind fool)

this is a test to see if they can monitise it more
its a battle royal game type seems like DOTA they missed out by you know a few fucking years
same maps and only really a few viable builds if you want to win ( so it gets boring )
i wish this was a better islands expidition but nah they fucked it

  3. They kept it a secret because they didn't want to get ripped to bits before it came out. As already posted , they should have had a 2 or 3 min player invulnerability other wise you can ( and it does happen) spend more time in the lobby rather in the game itself.

  4. If they released plunder 10 years ago it would have been well received and revolutionary. They were too just ripping off pokemon at the time however instead of ripping off the massive amounts of battle royals that have been out for years.

  5. us pvp players dont get enough love so good on them for trying but i think if they was gonna do something like this it shoulda been more like bfa for the battle of stormgaurd and the battle of darkshore and the little pirate quest thing they had where you can get transmog and its vs a small group of alliance or horde

  6. but in actually pvp id like to see mmr be juiced up a bit more in pvp and i dont like how some of the top players seem to have a huge mmr advantage over everyone in solo shuffle fasure that needs to be fixed

  7. far as Plunderstorm goes, i think it's cool that Blizzard is doing things like it to mix u the gameplay a bit, but keeping it secret was not the play to make imo.

ready to start Season 4 when it's gonna launch, need them gear upgrades. lol

  8. Sorry but if you're required to play against other players that is PvP no matter which way you slice it. There are some of us who have anxiety issues and don't do dungeons, raids, or PvP because of the toxicity that that can bring by simply having the wrong pet out or not knowing what to do because it's the first dungeon you've ever been in. WoW has solved some of that with allowing NPCs to help you in dungeons now. However, locking end-game clips behind dungeons left a lot of people like myself needing to use YT channels to view what's going on and the Warcraft channel to catch all of the clips, leaving many of us confused when the next "season" came out.

  9. Honestly, I really feel like Plunderstorm's biggest issue is simply the timing. We've had 2 xpac's in a row with cut tiers, terrible stroy, and in SL's case, a lack of decent content. Had this been something that came out during Legion – well first I think that would be better timed with the whole battle royale craze – but it would have been during a time where we were drowning in content in the best way possible and the WoW team was firing on all cylinders.

  10. They kept it secret because clearly they know the majority of wow community don't like pvp. What I don't like about this event is not the pvp aspect itself, is the try hard gamers that start attacking others right after landing, honestly that's annoying cause you don't even have time to complete your captain's order. If nobody can be target until complete the quest or let's say we have 1 min to do it and then we are target could've feel better I could actually try pvp just for fun. But what I ended up doing was trying to complete my quest and kill myself in the storm over and over again, I reached 40 in 2 days by not killing players.

  11. I am indifferent to Plunderstorm They could have implemented a 2-3 min delay for the non PVP oriented ppl to finish the quest and grind that way, or a comp stomp type event that is team based with lower plunder acquisition.

  12. I don't like PVP, partly because I'm not good at it, and I don't see the upside of trying to get good at it to see if I like it more.
That said, I have been enjoying plunderstorm more by constantly reminding myself of two things. First, someone killing me doesn't remove any loot I have – I can always keep trying to grab plunder as I'm being murdered or make them chase me into a large group of mobs. Second, it's not really worse than starting a new area in WOW and being undergeared. I do know that if I land within eyeline of another player, it's not worth it to try to kill them. I just stand there and wait for them to come at me. Which they do, every time. I have yet to be in a match where I make it clear I'm not going after someone and they respect that and leave me alone. I wish there was a forfeit that let you kill yourself and go back to the lobby without spectating.

  13. It’s not that it’s “bad” persay, it’s probably more along the lines of this is a BfA add on not a dragonflight one. They could have done something like this with a more dragonflight theme or even a shadow theme leading into the next expac, maybe even a explorers league kinda of thing that you could have expanded. ext.
seems super random to just toss pirates of the Caribbean in here
also… unpopular opinion. Pirates are over rated and BfA was the worst expac theme wise.

  14. ok this wont be read by blizz but if i cant change forced pvp fine so could we have an option outside the 30 secs instantes so we can keybind change also id ilke to not have to rescroll my camera out at the start of every match

  15. You keep saying You don't have to PVP in the event but I call bs. I have yet to enter a session where I was not ganked within just a few minutes. I have zero PVP experience and don't want any. This event sucks.

  16. I was already not a fan of this being a pvp mode, but why did they have to go and throw in SBMM with a hidden MMR? They should ask their buddies over at Activision how well that worked out for Call of Duty/Warzone. Kelani might have positioned this as a good thing, saying it's so that less skilled players aren't getting stomped all the time, but the truth is this just means you will now have to face off against people roughly as good as you are every single game. So even if you improve you won't actually see any better results because they'll just match you against higher skilled opponents. MMR systems are for competitive/ranked game modes and have no place in Plunderstorm. So much for a fun, casual game mode to grind… let the sweat fest begin I suppose

  17. The patch had barely anything to do with the retail game BUT it brought a ton of nasty bugs.. chat channels, interface settings and such not being saved and resetting to default on reload/relog made the game an absolute pain for my guild 😢😢
