World of Warcraft Shadowlands patch 9.3 will not happen. Patch 9.2 (Reality’s End?) will be the final major patch of the expansion and Shadowlands will be cut short, but it’s not 9.3 that got cancelled for that to happen. Confused? Don’t be. Taliesin explains the whole situation and how it involves the pattern Blizzard have established with Legion and Battle For Azeroth, and how they learned their lessons from Warlords of Draenor.

  1. Worrying factor for me is that they were supposed to roll out news regarding 9.2 and its content once 9.1.5 was on the PTR, but them dedicating all their resources to 9.1.5 (or what seems like most of them at least) to try and entice players to stay and still play their game and maybe to come back if they did leave, 9.2 is about to suffer a delay, which is bad news because 9.1.5 is not exactly "new" content for the most part, and people are pining for new and interesting WoW content which can only come with 9.2.
It's not exactly a rosy prospect at the moment, and has me worried personally for the health and future of the game with all the new options available in terms of games/mmo's now.
I'm anxiously awaiting news on 9.2 now, and I hope it's atleast 7/10 gameplay wise.

  2. I loved your videos but it seems to me that in the last year youve been kissing blizzs ass too much to cover their unending, unaccepteble, horrible mistakes in planing and producing wow that have only led to people being ripped off and then leaving this shit show of a game. Two expansions in a row, absolute disaster,…

  3. When Tali mentions that 10.0 might try to send us further into a cosmic theme, I shudder to think of it.
In my mind, sending us in a new cosmic space we never heard from in the Lore before, that would be the death of WoW. I personally can't handle more of that.
I honestly don't care about places like Korthia or Zereth Mortis, places we never heard from before, and suddenly, the name is mentioned ONCE in one patch, and the whole zone appears out of no-where in the following patch, and we're supposed to all be hyped about it.

I wanna go back to Azeroth. Can't believe I'm saying that, but I want another 'Cataclysm'… a new expansion which updates the context of the old zones, at least the old capital cities.

  4. Repeating the same mistake over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity…

The expectations for the next expansion are now so high that Blizzard, with the way they are currently working, can never meet them.
The sad thing is that everyone will still pre-order like sheep and then complain when the money is already made.

    A call to everyone, don't pre-order!
Blizzard has to deliver and show that they deserve our trust. If the beta test phase is not convincing, if criticism and necessary changes are ignored again, you have learned nothing. Then we only get WoDs and Shadowlands until WoW stops at some point.

We players can only change that if we stop blindly accepting it!!!

  5. Wow is actually now dying and I'm not sure it'll recover this time. The story is lazy and there are simply better alternatives out here now. After 10 years+ even I've had enough and moved on. Sad times

  6. I hate to draw upon internet memes, but this comes across as pure copium. Even assuming the argument is correct, which I feel is overly generous given Blizzard's track record and ongoing issues, and Blizzard course corrects and maintains the game in a sane fashion for the rest of the expansion, the experience has been utterly abysmal and NOT ok. I got friends to try WoW for the first time in this expansion and boy was that a mistake I'll not soon live down.

  7. Tali i believe u are right. But if u are right that means Ion lied in his interview with Preach. He promised NO cut content and NO smaller patch cycle (like WoD). But sadly i believe u will be right and another promise will be broken..

  8. I think the missing raid is Drust themed in Ardenweld with Elune elements and Tyrande. The Drust were just randomly thrown in there and their story never picked up and just faded in a way. The Elune stuff that happened was very cool but it was kinda a random cinematic out of the blue. Could have been a cool raid to battle the Drust and face Tyrande overflown with Elune's wrath before we help her cleanse it,

  9. Kind of sad if Shadowlands got the shaft overall ala WoD because it had a MUCH better premise. But at the same time, if the next patch is what should have been 9.3 and the end of the expansion, it actually would still be a solid expansion. Nowhere near the ruined experience and story of WoD. That would make sense though, they likely learned from essentially dealing with the same thing back then.

  10. I think you also need to mention their classic schedule as well, (i know they are separate etc etc) but they keep releasing content on top of each other. Classic and retail should be more harmonious, but how they release the content pits players into picking one path or the other, instead of making it harmonious.

  11. I feel like real life really caught up with Blizzard, wild fires, lawsuits, global pandemic have all taken a toll on the dev cycle.

Here's to hoping for a better expansion.
