The Earthen starting zone in the War Within is new piece of content being added to World of Warcraft; a starting zone meant to introduce players to the lore, culture and way of life of the Earthen people. Does this starting zone succeed in such a thing however, or is it a giant flop? So I'm gonna guess that if this much attention, or lack thereof, was placed on this new race then I'm gonna also guess there are zero improvements to the new or returning player experience. So much for growing back the player base. Sounds like WoW will remain as stagnant as it's been for the past few expansions. Had some hope for the game with the upcoming expac…not anymore.

I mean it’s similar to the other races starting zones in length. I’ll be out of northshire abbey in like 10 minutes or less. And I’m not guna lie the worgen and goblin starting zones were cool but after the 3rd or 4th time it gets boring and feels like it takes forever
The mentioning of crafting reminded me why I dislike trying to craft in WoW. Things require SO MANY parts to craft and now you need so many more materials to make one now than years before and it just feels bloated and bad.

Earthen aren't on the list of races I ever thought should be added. There are so many other races that the community have been clamoring for since Vanilla, like Ogres. We have Void Elves, Robotic Gnomes, Thick Humans, and now another Dwarf race. Cool.

Who did you expect from a filler race: huge lore like from pandarens??? Please. Nightborne and Void Elves have similar short race quests, as well as DHs just with a bunch of additional cut scenes.

You clearly know nothing about retail WoW. Allied races have a cool storyline in the journey you take to unlock them. Once unlocked, you are ready to go. Earthen is an allied race. I bet you didn't even unlock a single allied race in retail WoW. Go back to playing classic.
I agree with the factor of being the hero or champion, whatever thing that makes you different than others being something I don't like, but i don't see anything wrong with the zone being short as it is, they are supposed to be an ally race that you unlock after the leveling experience, if nothing has changed. And sure blizzard has been hyping the earthen since i dont know when, but the entire story theorically is around them so.
While they being hyped as the Gay Elves, Space Goats and China Bear, none of those were or are allied races, and the concept has changed from then, to have a ally race as a addition (after completing the campaign(s)) to that expansion.
But at the end of the day, we all have our opnions and we like or dislike certain aspects or decisions of blizzard and influence by others.
Dracthyr also had to choose during character creation, so maybe the earthen are more like the unlockable allied races that we get this introduction stuff during the unlocking quest?
Don't get me wrong, this is disapointing, i just have hope that they got something bigger that wont be shown until release?

Startingzones for new races shouldnt be to long, the drakthyr was obnoxious to say the least.
Pandas were okey.
Dk's and DH's were like on the sweetspot for me.
I dont want it to be super short, but at the same time dont have it to long.
Give me a 15-30min backstory thru quests and exploration and then let me do my thing.

This game is dog crap. Idk why people say dragonflight is 10 times better than classic. I am thinking the people that are saying so are much younger, and have never experienced wow earlier than wod or legion, cause the game holds your hand the whole way, while you jump on the hamster wheel. The world is dead and community is non existence, classic isn't much better for chat, cause people just talk about political trash to piss people off, and say sexual non sense, all while talking about really bad new age memes that were never funny, but at least people sometimes help, and are looking for stuff to do, overall chat is alive.
This starting zone is donkey balls. They might as well just give you a portal right away like the old allied unlock races with how low effort this is. Compare all of the allied and neutral races to what we have with the pandaren for their story rich turtle hopping, and learning about their culture. The quality has severely dropped since then.
Earthen 🤮 we literally could have gotten ANYTHING else. I like dwarves and elves but we have too much of them. I want something else

Why do we need to learn about them? When we are going to level up through all of the zones and finding out who and what they are.
This just feels like an average "Retail bad" video. No other Allied Race has a starting zone and you're supposed to learn about the Earthen while you level and before you unlock them. Pretty clown video Nixx

The “chosen one” trope is definitely over played now. It’s incredibly immersion breaking to be told you’re special and the chosen one when you’ve literally just started the game.
