Hi everyone – just a quick jump into World of Warcraft on my Apple M1 Macbook Air (Apple M1 (2020) Chip with 8-core CPU, 7-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine) and playing World of Warcraft at 2560×1600 and 1920×1080 resolutions on Ultra and High Settings.

Overall, I was impressed!

  1. I'm playing on 2560×1600 (overall settings 4) on my M1 Air, on constant 58-60 fps in any town etc.. very impressive! But the heat is an issue.. its get REALLY warm (because of no fan) so I don't feel comfortable playing very long. Anyone know if this could damage my Macbook Air?

  2. I remember I had to play on 1080p low settings (2/10 if I remember correctly) if I wanted to get 30fps on my intel i3 MacBook Air, and that was back for Battle for Azeroth. It doesn’t even run Shadowlands, much less get anywhere near 40-60fps. Hell of an upgrade.
