  1. RIP Starcraft, Blizz and the fans remember you, but RTS just aint popular anymore, hence why you are lost in limbo for now. sleep well Starcraft, maybe RTS will flourish again, like Beat em Ups and Fighting games had their resurgence.

  2. Fun fact about the Nova shrine, a month after BC's release, they added a female Blood Elf dressed as close as could be done to Nova's suit (at the time of BC anyway) and had her stealthily walk next to the shrine and kneel before it, paying her own respects to it. The Blood Elf was also named 'Nova Terra', same as Nova's name in Starcraft. So Nova's being a Ghost in both senses of the context for this little memorial.
Certain unspecified conditions made her appear, though I'm personally fairly certain it was just a timer nobody tried particularly hard to keep track of.
For some reason they removed her two to three months later. I guess someone at Blizz wanted to pay respects to what looked like a reasonably promising game for the Starcraft universe, but didn't want to keep having attention drawn to it for too long after cancellation so everyone can move on.

  3. I'm surprised Outland looks so well designed, aesthetic wise. I fully expected to react like "guh, that hasn't aged well" but the jump between Vanilla and BC is pretty big. I think the design of Outland is very creative.

  4. I've been years without playing WoW(since patch 4.something,just didn't digged Cata that much and Pandaria didn't catch my interest at first glance),but this nostalgic feeling is about to make me risk it for the bisquit.

  5. 10:03 That NPC Melgromm Highmountain is probably a reference to the Sunwell comic, where a tauren named Trag Highmountain is a major character. That tribe isn't related to the Highmountain tauren on the Broken Isles, the comic came way before Legion.

  6. One of my fave weird things in Outland are the Sand Gnomes, I remember it made me so frustrated lorewise as a kid. How are there Gnomes in Draenor? It reminded me of that you asked me what we used to theorycraft about back in the day. So I recalled some of the questions:
    – Sand Gnomes, what the hell are they? (I mean, they're kind of an easter egg joke, but presuming they're more than that for the purposes of theorizing)
    – The other continents of Draenor, if any survived as different chunks of Outland.
    – Something I was convinced of back in the day was that the Goblins were related to the Trolls, because they look quite a lot like them. We knew Trolls descended from Dark Trolls (kinda retconned to be Zandalari, I guess?), so my assumption was that the Gobbos also shot off from that. In Legion we found the Drogbar of Highmountain, and I thought that they were the "perfect missing link" between Goblins and Trolls, kinda like a more primitive forerunner of both, or a different offshoot of a common ancestor. But then I believe Blizzard made up their mind that the Goblins were also descended from some kind of Titan construct like the Gnomes and Dwarves. Hated that, goblins just don't aesthetically fit into that group, imho.
    – Remember all those fan-created expansions? I loved the ones exploring a hypothetical "South Seas" expansion, with Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Broken Isles, Undermine, Nazjatar, etc. Now those things have kinda been done, albeit very differently from how we imagined back in the day. It would have been cool to get your own boat to free-roam a giant ocean with little POIs though.
    – Something I've always kinda thought was fun, but frustrating, was to think about how to update old expansion worldspaces to reflect the current state. Like, what would Outland or Pandaria or Quel'Thalas look like during Dragonflight? They obviously did this for everywhere during Cataclysm, but that was more because they needed to revamp the entire game to implement new mechanics. They've also updated a few zones to follow the storyline, like Arathi Highlands and Darkshore. I do think it would make an interesting video to just try to speculate how things are going in overlooked regions though. How's Duskwood doing? How are the Mag'har orcs in Nagrand nowadays? Any update from Undermine? Any news on resettling Gilneas? What's up the Azuremyst Isles now that the Exodar is operational? Is it hovering like Dalaran? That would be kinda cool. It doesn't have to introduce new villains, honestly, sometimes it would just be cool to come to the conclusion that "Yeah, Westfall is actuall fine now. We fixed it." Neat. (or whatever.)
    – Oh, and it's been implied that the world map in Azeroth only covers one half, or possibly only one quarter. Is Pandaria close to the south pole, or just the equator? Are there any more continents "behind" Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor? Who knows!

  7. Blade's Edge Mountains are pretty interesting. I don't know who came up with the idea of making the sky look "normal" and fiery-looking, and then, right in the middle, a circle where you can see outher space above you (or the void, or nether or whatever that is lol). It's like the game's telling you: "don't relax too much, remember you're still in an alien land"

  8. please check this out i'm not sure if i've seen it anywhere else, but when going between netherstorm and hellfire somewhere near the blades edge area all the way to the bottom of the twisting nether part there's this piece of model that looks like an archway wall from old hyjal-winterspring border, i don't know why it's there, with the tools i had i could only see a silhouette

  9. Oshu'gun is a crashed naaru spaceship, in case anyone didn't know! Very cool spot

And all the portals and dark portal replicas – those are left over from the old horde when they tried to open more portals to invade through, which ripped Daenor (Outland) apart

  11. The Black Temple has always sort of fascinated me because of how some or maybe even most of it seemingly sticks out into the nether and I always wanted to see those parts of it when I was playing during BC. To see what it looks like in WoD was a real treat for me because of that.

Is Terokkar ecosystem in danger? The waterfall releases water into outer space. This means that water does not return to the ecosystem in the form of rains. Soon Terokkar will lose all water.
