The hardest part of vanilla raiding was wrangling 9/19/39 other people to the same place, at the same time, and hope they all had stable connections, hardware and enough time. Oh and traveling to the raid took like half an hour… and if you were a warlock you better farm stones ahead of time… oh and dedicated pouches weren't a thing yet.
Yeah the real difficulty in classic is managing mana, I never really found retail challenging just grinding dailys non stop I hate that that's why I like classic

To the untrained eye you would think there is a ton of difference but really its just spell effects/music….. The mechanics are still just dont stand in shit on the ground… one just has sparkles everywhere and more stuff on the ground is all sadly

To be fair, MC was literally thrown together, so mechanics were minimal, and everything was just a DPS check, tank and spank.
After cataclysm, raid and Dungeon became much better to do.
Classic wow raiding: Pretty fun but took forever to get there.
