They could of ran through the gauntlet in BRD imo. You can see there are no respawns on the right side where they originally cleared. They could of retraced the way they came from and Grubby could of kited extra mobs pretty easily while they left group and ghetto hearthed.

The annie and grubby death was so bad, they could've easily killed the pack if they literally just stacked them up and attacked them. Seeing annie on screen do like 2 AA's throughout the whole thing was so frustrating, use CDs and start pumping and it was an easy survive..
