  1. Real lore (spoiler warning) Sylvanas will be redeemed with a big quest arc. Then the players team up with sylvanas and sargeras against the common threat. Sylvanas will be buffed with a "pure" version of fell (by sargeras) because it is her "free will" to do so. Then you fight with super-fell-sylvanas against the jailor before his doomsday device finishes. Oh and sargeras bring you to his loc

  2. Sargeras' redemption will not be through any action of his other than GIVING ILLIDAN HIS POWER!! ILLIDAN HAS ALWAYS DEFENDED AZEROTH, and the mortal realms to some degree.(regardless of cosmic or personal consequence). Sargeras can only be freed if he's a non-threat(I.E. The curse of flesh). Illidan can only leave the jail once Sargeras is free. Illidan CHOSE his path. The Naaru have faltered in their prophecy because they did not offer him choice nor compassion(a virtue required to wield the light we hear in Uthers SL arc)…they literally tried to convert him by force(same mistake Uther made). I've thought Illidan would gain the power from Sargeras' sword and use the boost to drain him however I now believe it could also happen the other way.(THEY BOTH ARE MASTERS OF THE FEL ENERGY-siphon energy) It could also be possible once drained of the fel energy the Azeroth world soul could do a hard reset on the titan(though i merely speculate this at this point.)

  3. Canonically each Domain has a Pantheon of their own right? What about the Pantheon of Disorder?

    Shadow – Void Lords
Light – Open question, someone above the Naru?
    Death – Covenant fam
    Life – Elune, An'she?
    Order – Titans
    Disorder – ??

I would assume that whoever is in charge of the Disorder Pantheon has been munching popcorn while Zovaal uses the Dread Lords to corrupt a Titan into running their army for them.

  4. I honestly don't want something like that but at this point I belive that blizz don't know what they are doing with the lore so it wouldnt be a surprise if they did a redemption of sargeras. I actually belive that the sword would be the weapon that Azeroth would use if it ever awakes

  5. The whole “Sargeras pulls the sword” thing has potential, but there’s room for improvement. Imagine this…

Throughout the 9.2/3 patches, we see various lore setup showing where our players inform Illidan / the Titans / Sargeras of all the antics that the dreadlords, Denathrius, and Zovaal have engaged in.

At the end of 9.3, Zovaal comes to Azeroth, engages in some atrocities, and the players fight him at the finale of the final 9.3 raid. When the players get his life down to a certain point, Zovaal enrages, locks them all in place with domination magic (similar to the aftermath of the 9.1 raid), and swells into immensity as he consumes the power of the First Ones and begins to erase the universe.

In the midst of this, we cut to a closeup of the hilt of the Sword of Sargeras in Silithus, and see a hand reach out from off-camera, take hold of the hilt, and slowly draw it from the planet. (Think of that pivotal scene with Captain America towards the end of Avengers Endgame… you know the one.)

Cut back to Zovaal and more taunting / erasing. This goes on until Zovaal’s work is nearly complete. Right before the climax, the tip of sword bursts from Zovaal’s chest (through the hole in his armor), and Zovaal staggers. Sargeras seizes him from behind, snarls “I will not be imprisoned alone”, and drags him back into the Pantheon’s bindings, to be chained by Order for all time.

It would require a fair amount of setup to avoid being Deus Ex Machina or otherwise cheesy (bringing the Titans back “on stage” for a bit to set up the finale), but could be really amazing with the proper buildup.

Of course, as Bell has said on multiple occasions, Blizzard has a BAD problem with rushing their stories (not allowing for proper buildup prior to their climaxes), so Blizz may not be capable of pulling something like this off.

    A pity.

  6. The players now “Sargeras did nothing wrong”

meanwhile the burning legion has eaten, mutilated and sacrificed. Blood letted. Women and children and destroyed entire planets.
But I’m sure sargeras meant well.

  7. Bellular I respect you so much because I could clip a whole 30 seconds where literally nothing you say makes any coherent sense to me about the story. And that’s how far removed it is from the wow universe.
The mental gymnastics that you are constantly forced to do in order to keep a semi positive light going about wow right now is absolutely admirable.

If blizzard doesn’t see in the end that channels like this one were the last bastion for their fan base or any hope of restoration this game , I’ll be completely appalled

  8. Dude, I think these lore videos are pointless. After years of you doing them, most of your theories never came to pass. Blizzard is incapable of writing a story beyond the current patch. Plus with all of the retconing I could give two shits. Wow lore died after legion

  9. There are stuff I don’t think are well executed, but I kind of like that WoW lore is moving from the old high-fantasy ‘this character is good, this character is bad’ practices towards modern storytelling, where ‘good’ and ‘bad’ are pretty much situational. It gives space for more catharses

  10. I don't get it. Zoval isn't void aligned is he? Why would Sargeras even care now?

He logicically worked himself into starting a universal crusade against life, attempting to destroy it to deny the void fuel, but ultimately failed. Now, someone else has picked up the torch to continue where he left off.

I figure the only reason hed have pause for thought about his actions is if it were revealed that void is in fact not consuming and corrupting everything it touches. But that's clearly the case, until Blizz 180s it for no reason to show us how we were wrong all along…

  11. The Wrath Of The Lich King cinematic is magnificent. In World Of Warcraft, tho, The Army Of The Dead is not so scary and it's a pity. Nowadays in game there are vulpera death knights which is ridicolous. The Death Knight hero class in original developers' thoughts came after levelling human warrior, human priest, orc warlock and human paladin. The death knights copies the paladin: versatility for his self healing – opposed to the paladin versatility for his healing spells -and haste which lowers the cool downs of all his abilities and the global cooldowns in general. Shadowlands is now a thing and we have a mess about the Lore of Arthas and Death Knight class in particular: we no longer have the 3 kind of runes (blood, frost and unholy). No longer dark simulacrum, summon gargoyle and necrotic strike are baseline for Unholy. This is about the gameplay. Now about the lore: what would have been cool in my humble opinion? In Shadowlands having Arthas and Kel'Thuzad accomplishing their plan to take the place of Zovaal, the puppeteer behind Ner'Zhul. Similar to "Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver", a stoty arc like a circle with everything planned by Kel'Thuzad. Like in Soul Reaver, Sylvanas would have been the main soul trapped in Frostmourne, the soul that hungers and fuels Frostmourne, the ghost and icy two hand sword. Death Knight class should have their paladin soul trapped in their 2 hand sword and they should be able to use only two hand swords, a relic like the one we had in Legion which continuesly progress through the game; two hand sword which they are bound to opposed to two hand and one hand hammers which are the only weapons paladins can use to cast their spells. In this vision of mine Bolvar Fordragon forged in the undead dragon fire breath would have been the bulwark, the armor where Arthas would have forged his soul to come back in this reality: a ghost in an armor. So back to Icecrown Arthas would have finally lead the third faction: The Undead to conquer all the living. Only human paladins can be death knights decaying in Forsaken if you do not death coils yourself enough. After the dead of the night warrior Tyrande by the hands of Arthas, of course, we would have had in this idea of mine, Malfurion leading a fourth faction, as we had in WC3 opposed to the Death rising and to Alliance and Horde not respecting Nature. Blizzard, we loved your games for your Lore. I've just downloaded: Hearthstone, Heroes Of The Storm, Overwatch, Diablo III, Starcraft II. They are all asian games most oif all in the graphics and in their microtransactions. As player I don't want this, honestly and this is not the future of the game industry. This is the future YOU want to give to the Game Industry. I have different ideas and yes in Diablo III even the Auction House given to the players to sell their findings and the third party boosting services was better than your microtransactions #fireion #fireholinka #firewyattcheng ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly10r6m_-n8 ) #firejallenbrack ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33NLcvCmnKA )

  12. Honestly hoping for a Sargeras redemption arc. He's always been a good guy, just with a slightly warped perception of "I need to save the world by destroying it". I hope in the final patch of the game and the final raid we team up with ghost Sargeras and eliminate the true big baddie.
Although I would still prefer Arthas redemption arc.

  13. Sargaras learns of Zovall's manipulation. Vows vengence, joins us in fight against Zovall, and takes his place as the Jailer as Penance. Illidan cleaves Argus from the Arbiter. Balance is restored.

  14. Before Pyro quit WoW, he was excited about the idea that Sargeras would be redeemed. He thought that his fight was ultimately just. Not just because he fought the Void, but because he discovered some as of yet unclear truth about the way Titans ordered the cosmos that was wrong.

However, with the bad quality of the recent writing, and especially with the introduction of the First Ones who are above the Titans… this kind of storyline no longer feels interesting or good. Because instead of Sargeras being a powerful rebel god and having kind of point, no he's just a pawn who was manipulated by more powerful forces that keep popping into the existence. It makes it feel like Sargeras was stupid, as he apparently was fooled and knew about the cosmos less than players. Despite being ancient Titan.

  15. You know, the idea that the Fel is basically Chaos and Titans are Order and yet a being of Order ends up leading forces of Chaos is rather interesting to me. One would say that they are fundamentally opposites, so this should have never happened. But on some level, one can understand that the destructive forces of Chaos could become so much more destructive if they were ordered and shaped into well functioning military machine. That's how Sargeras broke the balance of the cosmological forces. He made one of those forces so much more powerful than the other by using the strengths of Fel and removing it's greatest weakness – being leaderless, having no structure and discipline – turning it into strength by him – the Ultimate Order force and military general – becoming their leader.
That means that before Sargeras took over it, there was some kind of primal Fel. Primal Demons. That were even more demonic and even more chaotic. They might be physically stronger in a way, but completely self destructive and thus absolutely ineffective in conquest. If WoW lore was any good these days, this primal Chaos is what I would like to explore.
