  1. The Custodian should've slapped the Big D(oomer).
"THEN WE KILL THE NEXT HORUS, AND THE NEXT ONE!"
And should the Emperor succumb to futility, the Empire will continue where he left off, despite all odds.
If you're gonna die, let it be carrying out the mission.
If the Empire is to fall, let it be because it was bested. Not because we gave up our ambition.
    Inspire through nihilism with perseverance.
A Custodian is the embodiment of this philosophy, he should never faulter in his resolve, even if the Emperor does.

  2. I think, he was just shocked of both the continuous attacks of Horus, and the loss of his custom webway which was his ultimate plan to save mankind definitely.

If his spirit was more calm, he could have thinked about other plans such as negociating with eldars in order to "buy" some parts of the webway in exchange of his help against Slaanesh for example, or just conquer everything on the galaxy so mankind has no enemy and then find a plan to make humans no fall into war against each other, enstarving chaos by the way.

  3. Emperor realizing the webway project has failed: Its so Over
Emperor being resurrected by some random inquisitor's mad scientist project that accidentally got it right: WE ARE SO BACK!

  5. The emperor is the height of doomerism. It doesn’t matter how many times the enemy sends a champion to lay ruin to your empire of truth you cut him down and build the next foundation over the bones of your enemies. It doesn’t matter that the warp is a cancer you are the doctor it is your job to cut it out and make sure it will not harm us. It doesn’t matter if Horus turns of the rest of the universe turns so long as one man believes in the dream of humanity ascendant the dream never dies

  6. For much needed context, this happened after Magnus accidentally destroyed the webway in the imperial dungeon, the secret project the Emperor was working on ever since he appointed Horus the title of warmaster. His plans to save mankind relied on creating an alternative to warp travel to starve chaos from human contact. I think he went along with banning all psychers exactly to safeguard the project during the early vulnerable stage too. Yet Magnus had to psychic project right into the still-fragile structure to warn him about the heresy, something the Emperor certainly anticipated anyway. This exploded the baby webway, causing the exact opposite of what everyone wanted: a huge unfixable warp rift directly under the imperial palace. Magnus did everything wrong.

  7. I actually think Emps wimped out here, he was exploring the webway and the gap between real space and the warp, what if he turned the throne from a control mechanism into a disruptor? Separate mankind from the warp eternally at the cost of all psychic powers and warp travel? He lived through the Age of Technology, he knows non-warp FTL is possible.

  8. Horus didn't doom everyone the Emperor did by repeatedly making bad decisions. He lied to everyone even the Primarchs and when he wasn't actively lying he was withholding important information. Then there is the fact he simply over reached when it came to what he wanted as he wanted the entire galaxy and he wanted it as quickly as possible. Had he just accepted that only part of the galaxy would be under his dominion and left the various other human empires and xeno empires alone everything would be looking far better as the great crusade was a massive waste and only made things worse for humanity and the galaxy as a whole.

  9. dont forget that " the emperor is humanity and humanity is the emperor" and when the emperor says we are doomed , we are basically fucked …. the emperor's path was correct ,uniting humanity and trying to fix the webway ,humanity would've been the dominant force of the galaxie …. only if …

  10. I see many saying how much this moment is like a God failing, no, no guys, this is truly a human moment, a proof of the Emperor's humanity, fear and doubt, like a normal man. He really is one of us!
    And now as Aragorn said:
Not today Big E! Stop whining like a little b-i-t-ch and let's punch them in the face!
