Will the next WoW expansion finally have the Azeroth world revamp that we’ve always wanted to see? For a while now, we’ve seen a lot of old models, buildings, and even entire zones get fresh coats of paint in retail World of Warcraft. As the community continues to see these updates, the desire for an entire Azeroth world revamp gets even deeper. And guess what, we’ve been seeing a LOT of updated assets from old zones in the current game files. With all of this in mind, the entire player base seems to be convinced that the next expansion will finally deliver on this. Do you think we’ll see Azeroth in a new light soon?

  1. How about REALLY non-linear questing? How many times have you killed some npc on the way to do whatever, only to then get a quest to go back and kill that same npc AGAIN? How much better to have that quest giver have an alternate chat to thank you for already accomplishing the deed.

  2. You wanna make Professions relevant again for lower levels? You gotta nerf the Heirloom gear and weapons. along with every quest giving you an uncommon+ quest reward. Lower the amount of quests that give actual armor rewards too.

  3. Disagree. Linear questing needs to stay. It was a huge improvement when Blizzard introduced storylines into the game, best way to learn the lore. Nixxiom argues that linear questing needs to be removed because it is boring after you repeat the same quests several times. Most anything becomes boring after repetition. I had to give up on Classic because efficient inventory management is impossible (no guild banks, 16 slot bags, mail box access). Everybody wanted to power level by buying or selling carries and there is too much group content to progress as a solo player. If I"m going to be playing solo, might as well stay in retail where storage space doesn't dictate my gameplay and I can carry my own toons via dual box. Vanilla is over and there's no going back because the players are retail now. What I loved about retail is over and gone. The Wyrnns are on the verge of extinction. Shadowlands was too WOKE for a woman who is not allergic to testosterone. Nothing about Dragonflight appealed to me so I cancelled my subs.

  4. I hope blizzard watches this video, good ideas here!. :)💖 I would love to see a deer/centaur race someday… wanting this since forever (even if they only have two legs instead of four)

  5. I’ve had the same problem with friends and they all end up playing classic and I can’t freaking stand classic so I’m stuck in retail which I’ve enjoyed since 2004 I’d never in a million years play classic.

  6. I personally really like the ability to choose and forge your ingame identity. I liked your idea with the factions… Honestly, I like all your ideas… I mean I basically want the same things, you just put it into words. Basically, what I´m trying to say is that I know EXACTLY what you´re trying to say, I think.

  7. They’ve already made a lot of this possible. I’m a new player, and I have low levels. There are already a lot of suggestions that you have for Blizzard, that have ALREADY BEEN IMPLEMENTED

  8. I play ESO, and as much shit that blizzard does and gets its awesome that you guys are getting a world revamp. All I want is Cyrodil(the main open world pvp area w/3 factions) to get a revamp…..it pisses me off so much…they never listen to their player base.

  9. I find it almost insulting that Blizz charges $60 bucks for a level 60 skip, because as a new player that tells me that it's not content that's even worth doing if players are incentivized to PAY to get out of that prison and into the 'promised land' of level 60 to 70 that's actually fun. I'm here to play a game, not a 9 to 5 job.

  10. There's 6 years from WoW's launch to Cataclysm, and Cataclysm released over 12 years ago. That's kind of mindblowing to me. I guess the "Cataclysm is modern WoW" really sticks.

  11. After FFXIV, World of Warcraft professions will always be sub-par. Always. WoW professions are terrible. They don't hold a candle to FFXIV and they never will. WoW devs have said that they will never revamp them. Why play WoW and level up two useless professions when I can play FFXIV and level up every single profession and have all of them be relevant?

  12. Isnt this endgame good everything prior trash a problem with final fantasy too? Ive heard many say only the end game is good there and i tried to force myself through lvling in there but god damn i had to quit it was the worst experience ive had.

Lvling in wow i enjoyed until they added this chromie time, i love duskwood, redridge, tannaris etc but that was back in panda land

  13. World revamp doesn't matter. Blizzard can beat around their giant bush of problems for 10 more years. Hopefully Microsoft's ownership will address the needs of this game for the missing player base and finally change it for the better.

  14. Imagine having small tunnels with mining carts as shortcut which you could only use as an experienced enough miner as a reward of your dedication to the profession. It may not useful after unlocking fly but it could be fun for lower levels.

  15. I agree with your suggestions but some of them will be real hard to pull off and feel satisfying.

However here is a list of what I would like to see in a revamped Azeroth.

    1. Deleting the new starter zone that every new player is funneled into and redesign the old starting areas for the core races and creating new onescfor the ARs. I think we can all agree that Exiles reach is a decent enough tutorial zone, but we did lose the uniqueness of (more or less) each race starting from their own theritory. And Blizzard could add NPCs for each class to serve as tutorials, hell re-use the trainer NPCs to give quests that unlock your first couple of spells and require younto use them or something.

    2. The return of class quests- Reintroduce the order halls, but this time you get recruited pretty much instantly. Every few levels you will get a special summons from your order hall. The quests could be for you to accompany an well known lore character on a mission only your class could do and reward you with unlocking your core abbilities and special class set/s that will help you with leveling. For example as a paladin you could acompany Lady Liadrin as you go and try to cleance the plaguelands by concecrathing the ground, this will unlock you concecration spell. You can take this a step furtjwr and make the quest spec based insyead of clasd. Once you have completed the all class/spec quest on one charcter they become optional (the abilities unlock autatically once you hit the req level) if you ever decide to level a character of the same class.

    3. Learn from one of Cataclysms biggest mistake and let us rewind time experience the old world if we so wish to. We have the technology now

  16. dont agre at all with classic wows leveling, it's extremely linear and if you stray off an optimal path its also very punishing. You cant really quest anywhere you want.

  17. I miss the useless aspect of WoW. Things you could do that would not advance your leveling or story but were fun to do just because.

I’d also love to see some more of that renown too! Revamp old WoW into bigger region and have overarching stories take you through them with some quest lines unlocking at some renown’s. Mulgor/Desolace/Barrens could focus on Taurens and their conflict with centaurs and this pig things. The southern part of kalimdor could explore the story of ancient Kal’dorei and the impact of the blade of Sargeras, and focus more on discovery that simple grinding by killing quests, Northern Kalimdor could focus on the Horde taking over the elven lands since the fall of Teldrassil, northern Eastern Kingdom could be the rebuilding of human kingdoms, etc.. it would just be fun to explore the story the way dragonflight did with occasional pauses where you have to grind some renown to unlock the next part.

Slow down leveling, let players enjoy the lore, the stories, the beauty of Warcraft. You can buy your way to max level, but let casual players breathe.

In vanilla, I’d spend hours just running through zones, exploring, trying to reach places that looked interesting, find quests in the most random place. Let the game breathe, right now it’s a sprint to DF

  18. Quest scaling makes sense I guess. I leveled soooo many toons that I don't need guide anymore lol. I am the guide!
    Professions are meh now…
Now let's talk about flight path routing lol.

  19. Another thing I'd like to see is a crafting system similar to what Final Fantasy 14 has. One character that can acquire as many crafting skills that they want instead of making multiple characters to carry the other crafts just to armor the main character. Not many play in guilds, those who like the solo gameplay. It would make gathering craft items and gathering areas loads more fun to do than boring and stop with the "rare" item drops of specific leather, herb, fish, ore, etc. just to make a helm, chest, belt, pants, or boot. Many can only be acquired in raids or dungeons only. How many are forced to go into a raid or dungeon with a random group and be rushed through and never get a crafting item they so desperately need to never get it because no one wants to take a crafter through. It makes taking up any advancable craft not worth the it. I play a blood elf hunter. I love the leather working skill but to advance in my skill I'm required to go into dungeons that I have to be in a raid group to go through and I still have yet to be given the time to do my skinning. I'm disappointed that it's either go through with a group and rush through the trash mobs, then the bosses, to get to the final boss for those rewards or get dropped from group because no one cares about the other gropu members having a crafting skill that requires a specific crafting need. That should be something more accessible than it is. It used to be fun taking up a craft skill and finding the items needed without being forced to do group finder. Not many should have to rely on the auction house since prices have become so outrageous that the AH has become a waste of time anymore. Does it make sense to what I'm trying to say? I have 9 / 10 characters that have a different crafting skill just to keep my main character upgraded with armor and weapon and to enchant and gem everything that needs to be enchanted and gemed.
