The Starcaller is a celestial warrior of Elune, infusing moonlight into their shots and strikes to deal increased Arcane Damage. The damage of their spells scales with their Mana Pool, so the more Mana and intelligence you get, the stronger your skills. As a Starcaller, you can specialize as a Tank, Healer, or as either a ranged or melee DPS. Become a savage Warden, an elusive Sentinel, a healing Moon Priest, or an indomitable Moon Guard and lead your allies beneath the light of the silver moon.

Conquest of Azeroth is an upcoming reimagining of World of Warcraft, complete with 21 original classes paired with all of Ascension’s custom features. CoA features 21 completely new classes with 69 total specs, crafted from the lore of Azeroth, each featuring their own spells, talents, and unique playstyles–progressing through the Original Trilogy on Ascension.

Azeroth has always been bigger than the bits we’ve been able to see, and the goal of CoA is to allow heroes access to hidden parts of the lore and mythos to challenge familiar foes in new ways. Conquest of Azeroth seeks to restore the wonder and excitement of stepping into Azeroth for the first time, and bring back your thrilling journeys learning your class and exploring the world.

CoA will be one more step in Ascension’s expansion from classless into fully Custom WoW, creating a premier place for custom WoW content.

  1. I tried ascension years ago. Wtf has this turned into? I didn't know custom classes were being implemented. All I remember is you can pick and choose abilities from any of the vanilla classees

  2. Maybe a dumb question, but aren't you afraid of Blizzard shutting down your project ? You seem to have put so much work (and money probably) into these classes, it'd be so sad if the project had to end.. How do you manage that ?

  3. I think this was the class that finally made me get the game lol. I'm brand new to all of this so I'm still a little apprehensive but I'm excited to try it out 🙂
edit: I've been playing for about an hour now and this is everything I've been missing from retail wow. I'm a swashbuckler and I'm having a ton of fun.

  4. This is basically what a Nelf priest is in lore. In game they’re all using holy light spells and abilities because of game mechanics. But lorewise they’re more of an arcane/moonlight priests…
They tried to retcon it with Velen saying Elune sounds like a Naaru but then never spoke of that again and Elune now seems to be a nature/arcane being…

  5. This honestly looks amazing! I absolutely LOVE a new, bespoke take on the classes. An elaborate class system has always been my dream, and to see this lovingly incorporated into WoW makes me really happy.

I've never seen this project, but it looks lovely.

    Keep going!

  6. The only thing I don't like about CoA is that its overall feel and gameplay is very retail like. I'd prefer it to be more of a classic style… The creativity put into all this and the classes however are insanely inpiring and well done.

  7. I always wondered – has the Ascension team the ability to alter or add their own VFX and animations for these models? shapeshifts suffer greatly from the barren animation pool for example (can't even walk backwards as 90% of the mob population)
