  1. Survival gets a lot better in wrath with explosive shot. Marksman is one of those specs that I actually enjoy a lot more in retail. The class fantasy of playing an archer instead of a pet reliant hunter is really fun.

  2. When it comes to the thought of transferring talent points, it should be once a character dies or dings 60 (So a 40 can’t transfer the points until they die or ding) and it shouldn’t be bankable, but you have to use it on the next character creation or lose them.

  3. Race to lvl 10 and finding the right range is hard, but good training for future survival. After getting the first pet you have your personal tank fighting with you. Dying will be hard from then on… 🙂

  4. Re: bow training in Darnassus… you can swim from the northern coast of Westfall to Menethil Harbor. Running thru Wetlands is NOT necessary! It’s a long swim, and very boring for sure, but it’s a lot safer than trying to dodge the orcs and crocs in Wetlands.

If you decide to do the swim, the only thing you need to be careful of is approaching Menethil at the end. You’ll need to hug the shore most of the swim, but once you get into Baradin Bay, you want to stay on the edge of the fatigue zone until you can approach the boat docks in a straight line from the west. This way you’ll avoid all the murlocs and crocs near the harbor.

  5. Love this race/class choice! Super excited for this one. 😁
I noticed a few comments telling you to back up between shots, but I found the timing for that to be a little tricky because you can’t shoot while moving. On my troll hunter, I noticed that her stance/pose changes when she’s ready to shoot again. Your dwarf may do something similar.
Doesn’t hurt to get some weapon XP on your axe early on though!

  6. I didnt get to view your vids for couple of days so was shocked to see your pali had died,,,,,i really thought that one was gonna go a long way,,,,palis have so many good 'get out of jail ' cards. having said that,,,one bad pull can take out anyone. am sorry to see that journey end but looking forward to a hunter, key thing is take it slow and careful til lvl 10, once you get the pet its so much easier but those first few levels can be tough,,,good luck Robert

  7. I have found if you start walking backwards as they are swinging. You can get just far enough to get off a serpent sting or arcane shot before they start moving close again

  8. I think you're right. Night Elves are so bland for hardcore runs in Vanilla. I personally like Teldrassil questing, but Darkshore is long and awful. The path to Eastern Kingdoms and questing in Menethil doesn't upen up until around the time that you would start Ashenvale ~ Level 22-25.

  9. Hi Robert 2 add-on related comments for you. Firstly on your comments about getting more shots off, you can move between your auto shots to get more range to get more shots off, you can use weapon swing timer add-on if this is what you want to do. Secondly a really handy add-on is Dejunk, this auto sells your grey items and also does auto repair for you when you visit vendor (this can be turned off).

  10. Honestly with ranges and melee along with leather armor. You aren’t that gimped early in. But by the time you get your pet you start to feel it a little bit.

  11. why you playin like a caster? u dont need to stand still – run a bit backwards after each shot.
wich meens run while auto shot cooldown is active. you can even fire some of the autos while moving if i remember correctly,
    like the DOP etc.
    – that way you will almost never get struck by melee attacks against normal mobs.
Regarding the melee weapon skill, you just wait til you got ya pet and let it tank while you bring the skill up to lvl cap.
i like the hardcore reward meta ideas you mention. the skill points thing is actually not a bad idea. though my take on it would be that only
true hardcore characters that had lvl up would earn these rewards to get spend laters.
wich translates into that the character that recieved the x amount of SP bonus wount be able to re-earn the same reward to pass on to another upon
    death.
