I want to know what you think of a hombrew class called cursed paladin
He dosen't believe in God's but the gods believe in him so they cursed him when he ofends the God the more curses he has the higher the stats
I once rolled 13, 13, 15, 16, 18 and 18. It was a rogue.
Add in bear barbar
This is great because this is what happened with my current (and first ever) campaign for all 3 of us getting such crazy rolls that our dm made us cap off at 18 for roles
If you’re rolling for stats it’s 4 D6 drop the lowest meaning the highest is 12 even taking into account race bonuses you should only have at most two stats at 15 at first level
I finally made a character with a 3 in something. I just make characters in my free time. Wis 3 makes sense to me, but it may be hard to play. I have been playin😮g high charisma builds since I started playing because suave talkative is fun role play for me. But with a 3 in charisma, how do I play that? Either charisma wisdom or intelligence since I also got a 18 in these same rolls and enjoy and plan on being a full caster since I love being the do everything build?
I once had a character like this. I chose to be a regular human to give him another +1 to all stats
Plain barbarian wiith like 18ac +7 to hit and lots of hp lvl 1
Mofo with good hp rolls some feats and some homebrew op items and a tiny bit of multiclassing shenanigans he ended up basically unkillable/unstoppable/uneverything to the point dm hated him so much he attempted to kill him in campaign NARRATIVE prologue then i explained why that wouldnt work specifically so at the end he just basically got him stuck in a pocket dimension for all of its immortal raging eternity xD
Edit: most hilarious time was when dm used power word kill thinking barb was low on hp when i told him yeah im at 50% at level 17 and barb had like 180hp and dm just decided the big bad had time altering abilities so it went 1 turn back in time just to not waste a 9th level spell like an absolute clown xD
Commenter: “What do I do when my stats are all above 15?”
Cinder: “Make a build that relies on transforming into other creatures that don’t use your stats.”
A holy bear/mammoth? Damnn thats cool
If we are at thr table and you roll all 15 or higher on your stats. I will do 2 things. If I saw you roll and did not see any trickery, then I'll let it pass.
Of you however came to my table with a sheet and they all where above 15. Then I'll ask you to re roll them. Because I sure as hell am not going to accept "I rolled them bro"
4 elements monk. You will finally be avarange
Just know better stats means your gonna be a target for smarter beasties, such as a mindflayer w extract brain
Now what the hell do i do when i dont roll above 8 in any stats, like it happened and we all just agreed to let me reroll, but Id be interested to see if there was anything else i could do
Thats what i got and now i have rogue-warlock-wizars multiclass who has good skills with high dex/int/cha (best skill stats in my opinion, maybe int<wis, but i like it more) with a lot os spell utility and amazing damage and survivability of 22-27 AC and 30-50 dpr (i broke 100 damage barrier several times throughout this campaign and we barely reached 11 level). My dm is nerfing shield spell because of me.
Don't role for stats. Obviously.
I created a Halefti race which is basically just the plant version of a war forged! Halefti is actually just a black rose which symbolizes death! This person is pretty much fern from adventure time! You are reborn as the person who you were but in plant form when a body is preserved and taken over by nature!
Have ideas for a fantasy sci-fi DnD storyline? With stuff like elder brains cyborgs and aliens and stuff like that.
Something that I've always liked to do is that I come up with the character that I want to play it's backstory it's class and then I roll and I roll for that specific stat and whatever I get I get. If I get bad rolls for that class that I roleplay that into the character. My character wanted to be a beefy tanky frontline guy that his teammates could stand behind but he has a 8 strength, 9 constitution, 5 dexterity, 14 intelligence, 17 wisdom, 13 charisma. It's just something that I like to do to play around with the flavor of it.
You have a bunch of great stats, Cinder's advice: transform into an animal and ignore half those great stats
Bro my friend during his first dnd game SOMEHOW got 18 in all stats but intelligence
Technically you cant smitw ith melee attacks
So I once rolled a character that got 3 18's , one 16 and then a 7 and 5 in front the the DM but they denied me to use those rolls and me me roll again. Still got an 18 on that next roll though. But my question is what character would you make with those stats?
I played this combo in a low lvl campaign and I think 2 Paladin/ 2 Moon Druid is the single most powerful lvl 4 character lol. For what that’s worth 😂
I've had players roll insane stats before. I usually just tell them that the high stats would trivialize the game and make balancing difficult for me. I work with them to keep the strength but tone down and have them have some key weaknesses inline with their concept to make it more fair. though nowadays I just have an accepted range, usually 70-78 stat total, under and you reroll, over and subtract stats until you're in line. that way you feel strong but also still feel lucky.
I only ever played once and the DM wouldn't let me make the character I wanted. All I wanted a to be a guy with a 10ft shlong he could use as a weapon, there could be accessories to make it deal more damage or armour for it. But DM said it wasn't possible. I offered a once a day use of high damage then some recovery time being a body part. The best offer I got was it can be a club … But a clubs not 10ft long and smelling of cheese….. Can you help how do I become super sized ron Jeremy
Rolling is trash. Stats are probably the most important thing in making your character work and if someone got really high stats and someone got really low stats, the character with the low stats will feel like way less fun and the player who got high stats will feel guilty about their actions having a way higher chance of succeeding because it is actually unfair.
If you'd still got to roll because it's tables rules and you have these high stats, don't go for an optimal build but go for something that wouldn't really work with average stats but with these stats it could actually be fun. Edit: in my rage I didn't finish watching the video, but we apparently agree😂
Actually to use divine smite it has to be a melee weapon.
For all over 15 stats i always love monk barbarian
15 on all stats? Finally a good monk
if have to say that is something i miss in BG 3. i want to really roll my characters and even would try to play ones were the rolls are just fucked up…just for fun
I've always had this idea for an assassin that wildshapes as a bee and hits you with the nastiest sting anyone's ever seen with a 5th level divine smite/blinding smite pumped into it, you just get stung by a bee and there's a tiny but blinding flash of light and instantly drop dead while it flies away never to be seen again
