how to track dots on multiple targets?

How do you get it to show your dots on a target when you switch targets, every time I go to switch target it disappears and only shows the dots on the target I'm actually targeted. I wanna be able to track the dots on multiple targets if that makes sense to mouseover to refresh dots.
