  1. Hot take: Blizzard can't win. You want them to play hard ball with the bots or not? Players Karen if they stick with this policy. Players Karen if they loosen the restrictions.

  2. For an uninterrupted streak of five days, I remain barred from accessing essential game features: the Auction House, Mail, and Trading. My guild relies on me to procure vital consumables for our ventures into Sunken Temple, yet I am thwarted by this ongoing issue. Even as I enter my second month of gameplay, the problem persists, frustrating both me and a friend who joined at my recommendation just last month. While I appreciate the efforts of the developers, the situation feels increasingly like a cruel joke.

  3. Yup, I quit and have been trying to get a refund. Blizzard however is such a garbage company I have to have my bank refund me for them. I was able to play with full in game features for about a week before this magic divine revelation comes out. Seems like pertinent need to know information you could tell new players BEFORE they give you money you won't give back.
Also, gold farmers make their living from selling gold, 30 days is merely an obstacle for them to overcome. While real players who wanted something new get fucked.

  4. I'm affected by this. Long time wow player just created a new account. First days were just normal then it changed to my disadvantage…That's so rude and uncool. Your bags fill up with stuff and you can't send it to a bank alt, you can't list it on the auction house you can't trade it to friends … Just a very dumb decision

  5. have a new player friend who didnt know how loot worked in a gnomr and needed on an item that they didnt need and couldnt trade it to the person who could actually use it. We were all sad. anecdotal but just a random example of how this makes new players just feel like absolute crap on top of not being able to trade stuff to friends in normal gameplay

  7. My wife and I convinced my 15 year old daughter to play with us. I was tired of her asking to play a new game on steam twice a month because game content nowadays seems so shallow so I suggested she try WoW, we reactivated our accounts and her account that’s a few years old but didn’t have 30 days on it and started playing. At lvl 28 she logs on Saturday morning and can’t use the AH, Trade or mail system effectively banning her from using the games economy to make Gold for her Mount that’s in 12 levels. I paid for a month of full access game play on a fully authenticated account. It’s made her toon unplayable and now my Wife and I don’t want to continue leveling without her so we’re effectively dead it the water.

Shame on who ever thought this was a good Idea. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.

  9. I'm a new player stared hardcore classic and yes this feels bad I can't play the game the way I want and I'm considering unsubbing and staying away from all blizzard games if this continues it sucks to because I was actually enjoying the game and this just sours the experience.

  10. They're not only restricting completely fresh accounts, but players like me returning after a long time (15 years) are also being restricted. I'm really pissed off about it because I paid for a month of World of Warcraft and halfway through the month I suddenly can't use the action house or trade with friends anymore. This is not the deal I signed up for and I feel cheated. I should have been made aware of this when I bought game time. On top of that, they didn't announce it or anything and all my tickets explaining my issue were ignored. I had to find about it in some random thread…

  11. New players don’t even use trade window or auction house, y’all are just complaining about something that doesn’t even effect you. Just use the in game loot system. This is also a huge win against bots which everyone complains about. But you don’t even realize it.

  12. This sounds like they have been hit with a LOT of credit card fraud purchases, which may not be reported to the credit card company and processed and halted right away (some folks may not know their card info has been skimmed/stolen until a new statement comes in with charges for something they didn't buy like a a game account). Bliz loses money every time some uses a stolen cards data.

  13. As someone who has returned to playing wow after a 12 year hiatus; I’m playing classic and this change has affected me adversely. However your statement that you, an established player cannot trade with a restricted player is categorically false. The restricted player cannot trade anything.

  14. Ok lets see the whole picture instead of get a knee jerk reaction. First of all how many new play is there? Most of the new player come at phase 1. When are gold sold most? I think at the begining of each phase ppl want stuff fast. I see this as a tactic move from Blizzard that dont realy effect 90% of the player base. And also the gold flow is higher in this phase. I think the next step is to control how much gold you can trade and how much gold you can sell in AH. Beacause if you have bigger gold flow that will also reflect the AH price.
