  1. We've seen some examples already of Blizzard wanting to revisit cut content that was meant for original Vanilla, like Karazhan crypts, but usually Caverns of Time is an afterthought. I would think that's a pretty obvious area to consider now that we have Xal'atath in SoD – what if the Xal'atath we're seeing isn't 2004 Xal'atath, but a present-day time-traveling Xal'atath assisted by the Infinite Dragonflight through the Caverns of Time? It would explain how Duskfeather knew about the destructive potential of humans and dwarves, and about the burning of Teldrassil – she heard about the events of BFA from Xal'atath, not as a prophecy, but as a retelling of actual events witnessed by Xal'atath herself. If this were true, then it could open up a SoD-specific lore reason to go into the Caverns of Time for a brand new dungeon or raid (or both), possibly in Phase 3 but imo more likely in Phase 4+ so they have more time to build it up through additional Xal'atath-related breadcrumbs

  2. Ok so I’ve been thinking about the lore and check this out. What if at 60 they open Caverns of Time and we find out we are in one of the alternate timelines that we originally found out about in TBC but never visited. And Xal’atath has been jumping between SoDs and retails doing her thing. It’s a way the could tie the two game versions together!

  3. would love to see a little more quality of life stuff come in p3. Bear druids need help with rage generation, maybe let bleeds generate rage? Let druids use pots in bear form lol!!

  4. I will say, as much as I would like more reasons to log on and do more content, I don’t see how they can implement heroic+ dungeons and make it feel good alongside raid content. There are only so many slots to fill in gear, and the upcoming raids are very boss heavy, would be interesting to see their approach.

  5. Am I the only one who does not want Heroic + or more things to do? I want to enjoy the game and play diffrent specs. And farming runes and gear and stuff already takes a ton of time to get to the end game. XP buff helped but still a huge task for a new character. I just want to farm my BIS and log off my main….

SOD PVP and class design is a clown show and the reason the pvp streamers aren't complaining is there is a 20,000 dollar tournament from OTK, most are poor and they have invested hundreds of hours into their shadowpriest, arcane mage, and whatever else is FOTM per patch. IF The design team cared at all about the majority of their players (since PVE servers are empty in comparison) several changes would and could be implemented overnight. A second grounding totem is the dumbest thing anyone ever though of in vanilla and decoy totem should be replaced with a stoneskin shield like WOTLK. Shaman tank stance should = 50 percent less dmg and 50 percent less threat. Whatever puts them in line with the bottom dps tank as they are already the best tank in the game.

    Meta lock one button spam spec fixed with a 5 yard range. Tanks in pvp are aids and have always been aids. No one wants this crap. Shadow Priest void plague needs dmg nerfed at LEAST in half and put into mind spike damage. The fact that spriest dots are much scarier than warlock dot specs is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. In addition homuculi should be removed as pets. Vanilla WoW was never intended to have this many pets with vanilla pushback and if you had leads that didn't play ret paladin who only heals during a shield and hunter mains they would know this. Homoculi should be a 2 second cast time debuff which is something for healers to do during downtime and spriests should get mind flay buffed as a rune option instead. It's iconic and you made it darn near useless. Rogue sword spec and poison dmg needs buffed. Whatever would help them in pve and not screw over pvp. AKA bleeds and poisons that break cc. Mutilate needs nerfed to the ground and backstab buffed to promote skillful play on an overpopulated class on pvp servers. Rogue was overpopulated before no skill front stabbing with mutilate and I say this as a rogue main. Make the class require positioning and skill and then cloak of shadows might be something that doesn't break the game.

    Hunter ranged specs with cast time spells need buffed and melee hunter/pet damage should be abandoned. I say this as someone who always had a hunter alt to go with my rogue. Pets are stupidly strong in vanilla and the game was never intended with this in mind due to armor count on classes. Melee hunter should be almost entirely class damage, NOT a pet. See future expansions on how to do this or don't bother. Those designers actually had some clue.

    Grats I just made the pvp in this game bearable. NONE of this would effect pve other than hunter melee and you simply need to redesign that class to be more complicated, require deep talents that don't allow a big ret pet if you want it to be viable or do big dmg.

Classic is about the vast world, long travel times that makes the world feel large, quirky and fun items, long rewarding quest chains, discovery which includes world events and world bosses, random events that you find during the way. And please make things more challenging so you have to group up with people. One thing that blizzard has not done well recently is to not incentivize things accordingly. I mean it's not that hard to create incentivs to explore, group up etc.

  9. I would love to see a book for mages that allows them to conjure percentage based food/water. There is nothing worse than drinking half a dungeon/raid because your mana pool is too large for the water currently. At least cut the time we are sitting out of combat.

  11. All they had to do was make new dungeons with in-between gear for leveling. And new dungeons that had farms. 10 man raids instead of 40, heroic dungeons, heirlooms, it's turning into retail. If tbc or wrath was so much better than why is it on the classic era client/server? As a classic lover I am a bit disappointed. Gear way too overpowered, low level raids, this is not in the spirit of classic. I'm basically have as much spell power as a 60 phase 1 pre bis lol. I'm not needed anymore bc raid teams only need 10 people. Everyone already has a mage on their teams. 40 mans we get 4 mages and I can compare and grow from each other. Not to mention each mage gets a pi.

  12. I hope they do bring in some kind of heroic because I absolutely despise the AOE meta. Half the reason I play WoW is have that dynamic group of adventurers to overcome the challenge using the class skills in a synergistic manner. Whatever original version of the game we know is completely pointless when you have characters doing 3x the DPS and having healing cost almost no mana compared to classic.

    Heroics wouldn't need gear rewards, they could simply give you gold or consumables via dailies.

  13. Imagine if they added actual new content, quests, and areas to explore instead of floating ideas like “let’s just add heroics and affixes like we did in all the other versions of the game” I had such high hopes that sod would be a little more fresh and original..

  14. ok shammys are sik stupid in pvp……if youre gonna allow this for horde without giving alliance the same with pallys…..this isnt a game worth playing and im done…..you kill druids and spriest…..hit shammys or boost pallys….simple as that

  15. Im one of those ppl that thinks…. TBC HC was the best challanging dungeons we'd had.
    Mythics, gtfo of here…. TBCHC is the shit.
    BTW we are lacking races High elfs+blood elfs, goblins, draeinais and worgens. :s

  16. i think one of the big reasons its not as rewarding/fun to level alts in SoD as in regular classic, and it is the constant changes to classes, leveling a class, investing a lot of time even with the xp boost, just to find that the fun interaction you wanted to play with, gets gutted/nerfed to the ground, feels terrible, and the reason classic an stay fun is that you know that the spells,damage and interactions or gimmicks will remain. I think there is to much nerfs and to little buffs.

    I don’t play a mage in SoD but I did in classic and each time I start playing a mage I see that the cool new things are gutted, arcane exploration self healing nerfed, living flame nerfed, feels like they could completely kill the game by adding target caps and a wow token in a not to distant future.

  17. Biggest Thing for me and many right now is the horrible slowmotion rate of WSG rep grind from rev to exaltet. Solo ques are 30min and you Even risk loosing = 1 hour lost to nothing. We already did This grind back in the Day. No need to keep it this sweaty anymore, most of us are low on game time because we are not teenagers anymore.
