  1. 🎉Mike created irl loot boxes on wow back in bc, still the most expensive items in the game, what did u expect from someone like that. He's the reason blizzard fall

  2. Disagree with Kaplan making the wrong call. Time after time, developers have indicated that quality and sustainability does not scale with size. There's a reason so many prominent devs splinter into small indies.

  3. What baffles me about Stormgate is that a crew of experienced RTS creators decided to try and revive the genre with the most generic setting and art style ever conceived. It's SO bland…

Look at Starcraft 1… It has so much style… It's dark, violent, mysterious, it has a vibe.

  4. This is downright embarrassing. We really need to make highlighting influencers who promote predatory practices a new content meta. It’s time to shine a spotlight on those who are cozying up to big companies like Blizzard, normalizing exploitative practices in the gaming world. These influencers may act neutral, but let’s not kid ourselves—many are subtly steering players toward harmful monetization schemes.

Just look at the state of Diablo IV. It's a cash grab, stripped of meaningful gameplay and iconic sets and gear, all in favor of selling cosmetics. If we don’t start pushing back against these billion-dollar tactics, the gaming experience will continue to feel empty and frustrating.

We need to call out these influencers who are turning the industry into a hollow shell. It’s disheartening to see how easily this generation can be swayed, compromising their integrity for a little early access or clout. If we can rally behind voices like Jim Sterling to challenge this trend, maybe we can inspire a shift toward more pro-consumer values in the community.

  6. OW2 is a game dying by it's own stupidity. The team lied MANY TIMES to the player base. They destroyed what was the original OW and now they are stuck in an endless loop of releasing pretty much ONLY female boring characters with meh abilities that no one plays unless they are OP. The story is gone now and no one cares, they made 2 of the most popular characters gay while at the same time having problems with one of those characters butt's being too big. Of the last 10 characters, 7 are female, 1 is a robot, 1 is a (she)male and 1 is an actual male. They clearly don't know anything about marketing or have forgotten and don't know who their player base is because if they did, it wouldn't be Femalewatch (with generic ugly characters that don't get played) and sidekicks and they wouldn't have lied so many times. They destroyed the games core by going to 1 tank per team, they are woefully inadequate at fixing broken characters like Hog who continues to be a high health self healing DPS masked as a tank that can't even be killed by the tank buster (reaper) because his kit is broken OP and has been for YEARS. Glad i haven't bothered with the shit show of OW2. I almost gave it a try when they had the Transformers tie in, updated the game for the first time since OW2 was released, got in and went to buy them…$50 ROFL. I logged out and haven't been back in the game yet and don't plan to ever go back. The fact that they think 4 skins in a game is worth an entire title or even several games on Steam is laughable and shows EXACTLY what the problem with Blizzard is. They could have sold those skins for $20 and i probably would have bought them all as a package for $20 but just like with WoW, they overpriced their garbage and i laughed and let it sit. Goodbye OW, 3k hours was fun but i don't ever anticipate returning no matter what they do, can't trust the team that runs it, can't trust the company that owns the IP, not interested anymore. Plain and simple.
