Really nice video!
I think a lot of people have the same issue with the jarring pacing of the story. So many things have changed or been adjusted over the many many years WoW has been out that it makes getting new players acquainted with the story basically an impossible task. Though I think they are trying to cater to people who want to get to the endgame as soon as possible.
For comparison, I played Final Fantasy XIV after playing WoW for so long and wanting to try something different, and that game presents the story as a singular, continuous unfragmented experience from beginning to end. It doesn't matter if you started the game on the latest expansion, you need to go through the story of the base game, and all the previous expansions, first. It took much longer to get to the endgame but the actual experience of leveling up and just enjoying the story was MUCH better for me.
On another note, I'm quite interested in what you would think of World of Warcraft Classic, if you ever feel like trying that one out. I'd like to see how that compares to the modern game for someone unfamiliar with WoW.
0:13 Starcraft II not being on your Battlenet game bar huge loss.

One the things I’ve learned about mmorpgs is that the grind can be sort of a comfort, as opposed to a slog. Not always, you have to like the game’s particular loop. That’s all I have to contribute. Thanks for the video!
