Classic vs retail

Is world of warcraft shadowlands worth your time as a classic wow player? I always try out every expansion that comes around, purely because I love arenas. Shadowlands holds some very promising features but a bag load of isses that go along with it.

WoW arenas have always been what I enjoyed the most. Giving you a solid reason for gearing and a set progression path. I am praying for the PvP in shadowlands to be bursty but here’s to hoping!

Covenant changes and conduits are among some of the top worrying factors in shadowlands. For the first time in a long time the expansion has been delayed and hopefully that will bring a better game

The giveaway will be getting drawn on the 23rd of october so goodluck!

  1. There is nothing more exsitig and fun to play then a fury-prot warrior.
You can transmog tf in retail but it won't proc like a real one! ^^
I dont feel conected to the character's on retail, hope shadowlands will change that and learn from classic.

  2. I like that there is going to be less gear in SL. You are absolutely right about not caring about gear in BfA and I think a big part of that is the fact it comes out of a shitty chest on a Wednesday rather than from the big boss boy you and your mates have been working on for weeks.

  3. The things I don't like about Retail (as someone who has ONLY played Classic, but has heard some things about retail):

    Personal loot
No social aspect (it's the only thing that keeps me playing Classic, even with all my real life friends having quit!)
no class identity because every class has everything
Gear not being iconic or special – everything is just a boring stat stick… there's no Death Sting, no Ironfoe, no Wolfshead Helm…

  4. Spell batching is good, just because you died a few times because you didn't take it into account doesn't mean its bad. There are numerous mechanics currently that would be broken without it.

  5. i don't know that i agree that players in classic are nicer because of the community aspect. they just find their community in their guild, and frick everyone else

    good analysis though

  6. Vanilla was hard core..Classic is softy version of it…Retail is softy version of Classic so the most soft one…cool for casual players… far from genuine gaming experience..or some sort of difficulty..

  7. Resubbed for the first time since Cata and fell back in love with WoW Classic.
Some of the gameplay elements of Shadowlands seems good enough to try retail, but the community and world of Classic is where my home is! Also the hype for TBC is real!

  8. Your classic experience is literally nothing like mine. People are douche bags, the only people playing are boosting, dungeons are a nightmare because finding them is near impossible and when you do people don't know how to play, botting has ruined the economy, tryhards have pushed everything right to the edge of powergaming, etc.

  9. Am I too late for the giveaway? I’ve been interested in wow for awhile now but never got a chance to play it. I think I would like to try retail since I have so many friends in retail.
