I always wondered why this ability would be suggested over the increased avoidance one. Thank you for the explanation of it.
Edit: seems I am mistaken on this being part of a choice node. Now I remember thinking "well, that's dumb to take if I'm never supposed to have aggro". I guess I didn't realize it worked on things other than direct aggro abilities or white damage.
I'd definitely require a wa to track the stacks because, with my luck, I'd glance up, think I see 10 stacks, taunt, die, and realize I was looking at the wrong buff.
I'm not brave enough to try to dodge a tank buster but that's a spicy trick.
Any chance you have a list of the tank busters that this would work on?
Ok I though I was going a bit crazy when heaving retch did 0 damage to me. Is there somewhere to see what abilities are / are not dodge-able? nowhere I'm looking shows heaving retch being dodge-able
Fun fact: monk's inherent dodge chance is why certain abilities randomly don't affect us. The knock back that happens to everyone in the Remnant of Ner'zhul fight will sometimes be "dodged" and we just stand there in the damage pool instead of being flung away.
