Well… I had no idea about the power dynamic between Locus Walker & Xal'atath! What do you think is happening?
The Locus-Walker is probably a balanced void lord. There is some quotes in game that indicates that its existence, beginning to its very name that we don't know, is "god like".
When Locus-Walker is pissed after you clicked on it too many times, it says this :
"Here's a hint: it's an ancient word of power. If I whisper it in your ear, your mind will fall into madness. Still want to play?"
"Were I to speak it aloud [its name], a thousand void portals would rip open and some very unpleasant entities would come looking to collect on old debts."
It also knows very well the mentality of the Void toward Light, meaning its well-placed to understand it and maybe old enough to be at least a witness of the war between Void and Light.
Your haircut looks great!!
BET: Alleria is being set up as a VESSEL for Dimensius. Will then proceed to turn quel thalas into a gateway straight to zereth umbra and manifest himself at full power.
Calling it now, the void will utilize both Sargeras' AND Zovaals' plans together, but we will LOSE. Just for Azeroth to fall to perpetual…MIDNIGHT.
Bet2: when the world is engulfed in darkness we will need to flee to the Holy empire of arathi–a beacon of light in the night.
No doubt in my mind. We've got medivh being a vessel for Sargeras and even xalatath herself is using the corpse of a blood elf….but Alleria is still alive ..and WILLINGLY pumping herself full of void energy. The ideal vessel
Any of these distant, further than the stars larger than life beings can't just manifest. They always need a living vessel born into the world. Sargeras went through hoops to get from the avatar into medivh, and zovaal uilized both Arthas and Anduin as he could through equipment. Void will utilize emotions and manipulation. Xalatath is just a harbinger, an instigator to steer alleria to her downfall. And usher in the coming midnight.
On topic of fantasy troupes being utilized–magic blades seem to be a big one. CANT HELP but think n'zoth and denathrius–both representing shadow….involved with the void and hiding away in their swords somewhere…..surely they'll make a return during either a war within patch or midnight…
im callin it now, they're doin their version of X-men's Dark Phoenix. Shes gonna learn this amazing power for the void, only to turn around last minute and become good. mark my words.
remember folks… no matter what happens, it doesn't matter. cuz it was the jailers plan all along.
Alleria and Xal'atath are the same person. Boom. Ur welcome.
Dude this thing about having so much authority. Harbinger… Essentially "messenger" a herald. It's just the word bringer. In actuality Xalatath isn't very strong. Just cunning. It's more a case of why exert strength when you got clean cut precision.
Locus Walker probably is way stronger and sharp enough to not be outwitted. Xalatath knows he's a bigger dog.
Wait! This is actually interesting fantasy lore. No! No! No!
What about the Modern Audience????? Where are the real world politics?
Locus-Walker is Nexus-King Salhadaar… He died in Netherstorm, but is said about the old rulling class of K'aresh, the Ethereum, which he leads, that they took any means necessary in fighting Dimensius, even transforming themselves in creatures of the Void. So after he died, maybe because he was transformed into a void creature before, he returned to the Void and was reborn because he didn't die in the Void.
Like people care about the now conflict stories. Wow lately has been touchy feely and its cringe. Bring Garrosh back
TPAB?
Man, I don’t know why, but this new direction they are going in with the story just feels right. Makes me remember to good ‘ole days of reading Know Your Lore: Tinfoil Hat Edition.
now that's how you build up a villain with a master plan. Not like that shitty jailer
My bet is on Locus Walker being Void Lord Dementius; perhaps taking the form and persona of a figure from a world he destroyed, his allegiance and intentions being unclear since something changed in him causing regret over his past as an all consuming force.
You only expect disappointment so no surprise 🤣
Any Windrunners not going insane? Kinda odd after Sylvanas' "internal conflict" made an entire expansion suck, they would triple down with a 3 expansion arc of the same shit. Oh and lets add Anduin's future trauma dump in there. Looking forward to that one. All those alchemists in WoW and not one has thought to corner the market with antidepressants? Leaving gold on the table.
I have always held the opinion that Xal'atath isn't actually an enemy. At least not in the sense that we usually have enemies.
I never really bought the idea that she was imprisoned by the other old gods and she's just fine with that. No vengeance? No nothing? Just continuing with the plan?
I am probably totally off — and honestly, it is probably because I have a knaifu bias and want her to be not a big bad — but I really do think she's plotting.. but not against us.
God i hooe we finally get ethereals as a playable race in midnight
My prediction for this is Blizz will take the position that all of the cosmic forces themselves are neutral, only certain elements within them are evil.
We saw that most of the Pantheon of Death were neutral forces simply doing their cosmic job.
Blizz has been setting up doubts about the Titans being questionable. I won’t be surprised if Sargeras is somehow redeemed or Illidan (being promoted to god-tier) are put in place to keep the forces of Fel in line.
Arator will obviously be used somehow to balance light and void.
I think this is Blizzard’s design. It’s going to be about keeping the cosmic forces in balance to keep Azeroth safe.
This trope of a character trying to control other worldly powers they don’t totally understand is a bit over done I think. Feels very similar to Tyrande in shadowlands.
Locust Walker is definetly the same ethereal that summoned Dimensius onto his homeworld and in stead of Xal'atath, it's going to be Alleria that will end up causing the shit leading us into Midnight
Yeah locus walker definitely knows who and what xalatath is. He even laughs when he says.. the harbinger.. that is what she is calling herself now. I'm surprised xalatath doesn't say anything about maybe we should do more than just trust people at their word and find out who they are before we invite them into our alliances.
9:10 Why is all western 3D animation now pixar-emoty movements?
It's just as if there's a set premade template list that is just imported into these animation programs, just like the old /emotes were used for fanmade machinima and cheap ingame storytelling.
You see these exact animation runs of faces every where, you could probably cut them out from several kids movies, tv series and videogames of this general soft style and they would look exactly the same. Slightly overdone, unnatural and most of all: repetitive and predictable. Uncanny valley in yet another way.
I love allerias void form, I think she’s cooler in it. I was excited and then disappointed that the void elves didn’t look like she does in that form.
My wife's dad is in charge of storyline development at blizzard and was tasked with the overall arc of the World Soul Saga. He got drunk last night and told me the ending, or at least what they have in works for the ending. I know how the world soul saga will end. Now these are massive spoilers, and shouldn't be read if you don't want to ruin the ending. A cosmic entity known as the "God above Gods" created countless universes, each falling into chaos and destruction. However, this supreme being noticed a unique dormant soul on Azeroth, one that reflected their own divine nature. In a desperate bid to protect this soul and keep it from the ruin that plagued all other universes, the God set the stage for the cosmic forces to unite against a common enemy: themselves.
The God sent messages to all the cosmic forces, warning them of an impending catastrophe that only unity could prevent. But as they moved toward this goal, the soul in Azeroth released a powerful energy wave that sealed the universe off from the God's direct influence. This energy, perceived as a song, lured all seven cosmic forces toward Azeroth, each believing they must claim this powerful soul to safeguard their own existence.
In the saga's climax, all seven cosmic forces converge on Azeroth, merging to awaken its dormant soul. This act allows the God above Gods to reconnect with the universe and reveal that through this unification, balance has finally been achieved. The newly awakened soul is embraced by the God as an equal, and together they rebuild the cosmos in harmony.
Blizzard is considering this storyline among many possible conclusions to the saga, aiming to create a compelling and balanced narrative that aligns the cosmic forces in ways never seen before. They are focused on ensuring this new story will not repeat the flaws of past expansions.
What if Locust Walker is what happens when the void dominates a world soul? The Olds Gods, as an extension of the Void Lords, have always been devious and had plots within plots within plots. Locust Walker could just be trying to get Alleria to serve the Void Lords plans. TWW could be setting up Locust Walker to be the big baddy in Midnight.
See guys, we just needed to get Cris back.
I need them playable ethereals, dawg. Locus Walker is rad.
Interesting. Really. If only the game itself were more for me.
Windrunners seem to always get screwed one way or another.
Begun. Not began. Grammar.
