  1. One hope is that they keep "regular flight" in the game, and have it switchable for all mounts that can do Dragon Riding. There are times when going slower, but being absolutely exact on where you're going and what you're looking for, is better than swooping about fast. I love both mechanics, and think both have a valid place (I farm on a regular mount so that I don't mis-land on a high perch or something. Also, it's nice to go AFK by hovering up in the air in safety if needed). If they made a speed increase to regular flight, say up it to 400%, then it would be golden – but at the very least I would like to see old style remain as a choice for those who just cannot get a handle on Dragon Riding, or simply prefer more control.

  2. I'm so so glad they changed soar! Also super glad they set the cooldown to start right away instead of when you landed, that just felt dumb when I was testing on the ptr. I do wish they had a static flying option for like the convenience but that wasnt nearly as important as having proper dragon riding. I get wanting people to use the mounts but the dracthyr just not being able to properly fly just felt wrong.

  3. The dragonriding changes are cool and everything but I can't help but ask myself, "WHY is the debuff needed?" Like why is blizz so concerned about 15% flight speed that they need to put that in the game? I'm sure it's still way faster than normal flying, but still I don't see why the speed reduction is necessary.

  4. Great video and info Dan! As petty as this sounds I’ll now level my Dracthyr as I found it ridiculous that a dragon humanoid with wings had to ride another dragon. Having them able to fly is awesome and sensical.
