The Dread Wastes are an area of Pandaria, located south of Townlong Steppes and west of the Valley of the Four Winds and Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Separated from the rest of Pandaria by the Serpent’s Spine constructed during the rule of Lei Shen, the Dread Wastes are the home of the Mantid. The landscape is dotted with massive Kypari trees that produce the amber which the Mantid utilize in many ways. Klaxxi’vess serves as the main quest hub for the zone, but there are two Pandaren settlements, Soggy’s Gamble and Sunset Brewgarden, that provide additional quests and are necessary for unlocking all of the Paragons.
Following the arrival of the Alliance and Horde and the subsequent release of the Sha, the Sha of Fear possessed Grand Empress Shek’zeer and began corrupting both the Mantid and the land itself. Even the great Kypari trees began succumbing to the corruption and dying. Faced with no other choice, the Klaxxi ordered the death of the empress and her fear-driven lieutenants and were successful with the aid of adventurers.

This zone is the Duskwood / Tirisfal Glades of the Mists of Pandaria. It's pretty good if you have a tendency to like dark places. For me it was too much, but I got exalted with the Klaxxi regardless. They were cool until they decided to join Garrosh. I did not buy the mount because I thought it was too expensive at that time.
I've made some adjustments to the zone and the music here. I feel it's unfinished.

Random question but what will happen to the Mantid now if there is no major void influence on Azeroth. Btw thank you for making this video Meisio
looks great mate
A other good vidoe dude keep it up you rock love the mop music
I liked the Dread Wastes, always looked forward to the quests there. Your videos are super 🙂
Thank you so much again. This made my workday today. 🙂 If you could fix the playlist order. It got appended to the end again. 🙏
Spent a lot of time here doing archaeology trying to get the Ultramarine Qiraji Battle Tank.
Thank you @Meisio for a great musical and visual feast 🍽
As always, a great combination of amazing shots 📸 with the irreplaceable WOW soundtrack. MOP is also a little-known expansion to me, but I have already liked the music 🎶 that accompanies it 😋
13th!!
Agreed, a little too strange for my taste. However, if they were going for the weird/creepy feel, they definitely achieved it. It’s got a bunch of interesting visuals and is fairly different from most zones. Still, great to see as always 🙂
Are you planning more WotLK content in anticipation of the upcoming Wrath Classic hype?
The slow flying camera over Northrend zones were my all time favorites and got me through tough times.
What's the name of the music that starts around the Venomous Lodge part ? You can also hear it in the Heart of Fear segment.
stone cold classic zone toe to tip
in an era where old raids might be brought back heart of fear should really be considered
The music flow is much, MUCH more remarkable in this video than how it feels in the game itself. I always felt like Dread Wastes were a product of a residual effort. You Meisio did a truly great job putting all those broken pieces together, your video gives such a smooth experience! In fact, you showed what the zone's ambience could really be had Blizzards put a real passion into it.
P.S. Nevertheless, I love MoP and recognize this expansion as a true masterpiece!
P.P.S. Thank you Meisio for bringing this magnificent ambience on YouTube! I love your videos.
5:50 the best MOP piece ❤
