After Grymforge, Jarlaxle decided to venture into the Shadowlands through the Underdark. Along his journey, he encountered the greatest mage in all of Faerûn, Elminster. Elminster arrived with a message from the goddess of magic, Mystra, and proposed a solution that left everyone in shock. Jarlaxle will contemplate how to carry out their task while preserving his friend’s life. In the Shadowlands, he encountered a group of Harpers whom he rescued from the shadows. In gratitude, they invited his group to their sanctuary where the curse of the Shadowlands holds no power.

После посещения кузни Гримфордж Джарлакс решил отправиться в Шэдоуландс через Подземье. На своём пути он повстречал величайшего мага всего Фаеруна Эльминстера. Тот прибыл к Гейлу с посланием от богини магии Мистры и предложил вариант по решению нашей проблемы, от которого все остались в шоке. Джарлакс будет обдумывать как выполнить их задачу и сохранить при этом жизнь другу. В Шэдоуландс он встречает группу харперов, которых спасает от опасных теней. В благодарность они приглашают его в свое убежище, где проклятие Шэдоуландс не действует.
