That would be thralls mom. She is a bit of a badass warrior rogue. Necrolords for unlife.
The hole in the sky was a portal to connect the mortal world and the afterlife (shadowlands). Beyond there are different "kingdoms" places, each governed by different ideas and laws that you can access depending on how you have lived your life. If you were a kind being you could go to bastion, and if you were the worst you could end up in the mawls.
Yeah the shadowlands is another plane of existence, divided into different zones that specialize in dealing with the different types of souls. The life that the soul led before their passing determines where they are sent
Wow, when I said "keep 'em coming", I didn't mean the another on the same day. It's like an early Christmas!
There is no particular order for these, so don't worry about spoiling something for yourself.
I've got 4 characters lined up for each covenant. My first is gonna go Ardenweald though
Warriors are not supposed to use stealth 🙂
Ardenweald cinematic reaction is going to be fun to watch. 🙂
Do diablo 3 next
If you don't know who that baby is it's thrall the black hair orc with saurfang in those cinematics
The Arbiter sends each soul to their respected zone based on their lifetime. (Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth, The Maw)
Maldraxxus is sort of the… armies of the afterlife, called to defend it. They perish, but rise in stronger bodies built of corpses, crafted to match their souls. Draka probably hasn't fallen again, which is why she still looks 'living'.
They're looking to be my favorite, since for the most part they do the 'proud honorable warrior culture' thing better than most of the living races that have that as their shtick.
The Shadowlands has "infinite" realms such as "Bastion" and "Maldraxxas" for whatever reason, hopefully to be explained starting tomorrow we only get ahold of 4 in game.
Maldraxxas is the Military Might of the Shadowlands home to warriors of all types from all worlds in the known universe of World of Warcraft. "Relentless, warlike souls who never yield and are willing to strive against one another for greatness are welcomed here by the Necrolords of Maldraxxas".Drakka was the Warrior turned Rogue in the cinematic. She was a deeply honorable and devoted warrior in her clan home to the Orcs of Dreanor. She's mother to Thrall, who is one of the most
I have 26 level 50s so i will have toons in every covenant
Draka is the wife of Durotan, Chieftan of the Frostwolf clan at the time when the Orcs invaded Azeroth. She and Durotan are the parents of Go'el, otherwise known as Thrall, former Warchief of the Horde. They were assassinated by spies of the orc warlock Gul'dan during the Second War when Thrall was just a baby. So he has never met his parents.
To answer your question, yes, that hole in the sky is the vale between life and death being broken, and these zones you are seeing are realms of death, or the Shadowlands.
Bastion is where the Kyrian operate. They are the ones who ferry souls from the mortal plane to the Shadowlands.
Maldraxxus is where the Necro Lords operate; the army of the Shadowlands, it's protectors. Made up of five houses. In this video, you saw two of those houses fall due to betrayl.
Ardenweald (The next video) is where the Night Fae operate; where spirits of nature go to be nurtured until they are ready to be reborn unto the mortal plane once more.
Revendreth is where the Venthyr operate, and it is where the souls that can be redeemed go to be punished until they have repented their sins, and are ready to move on to other realms of the Shadowlands. The Venthyr are also charged with extracting anima from the souls to fuel the Shadowlands.
Oribos is the city of the Shadowlands, where souls go to be judged and sent to their rightful places, done by the Arbiter.
And then there's the Maw, home of the Jailer, where the most terrible souls go to be spend eternity in hell.
I hope that helps. Really happy to see you again Galaxy <3 🙂
Originally I thought I might go with Kyrian/Bastion when they showed the covernants/zones at BlizzCon, but since my main is an Orc Warrior and Draka is pure awesome, I am thinking to go with the Necrolords to Maldraxxus. Sure, the rotten undead style is not so appealing, but I am looking for the pet Jiggles and getting the title Baroness for my main is also neat.
Yeah thats the mother of Thrall. Sadly this was the second best animated short in this series, right after Bastion and the other two arent even close in epicness. But non of them are bad, its still Blizzard quality after all (at least for cinematics that still means something).
Oh and the four videos are about four of the five new zones that you play in in Shadowlands. The shadowlands are the afterlife hence the name of the animated shorts. The fifth new zone is the Maw, where Uther tossed Arthas in.
Its shadowlands release day,she still has time to pump the other two out
Ahh my enhance shamans covenant. Gotta love it.
