  1. Big build up that went no where.
Oh, Sylvanas knows Nathanos died, and the Jailer took him and didn't tell her?
She must be so sad… oh nope it's never brought up again.
The story of Shadowlands had potential, but Steve Denuser has no idea how to craft a complete narrative.
This is why Shadowlands is critically panned.

  2. 7:15 You may have a point there. Tyrande has always been a fighter, but as a defender of her people, rather than someone who enjoys killing. Who would taunt her enemies to prolong their suffering. She was so ironclad focused on ending Sylvanas that she was oblivious to the fact Sylvanas was the distraction while her evil forces were sieging a tree filled with the vulnerable spirits Tyrande had taken up this power to avenge.

  3. It could be looked at that Elune is a caring goddess, who tried to save Tyrande from her self-destructive path, and the Jailer, aside from keeping secrets which seems perfectly in character for him, is all about taking advantage and discarding things that are no longer useful. There are questlines in Shadowlands that tell you more about Night Warriors. However I also could think of it that Elune has different phases and rather than her abandoning Tyrande (as Sylvanas puts it) she is trying to offer Tyrande another phase of life again. Finally the theme of serving higher powers vs. free will is once again a strong part of Shadowlands, notice that even the gods like Elune can make mistakes and not know what is going on.

  4. The reason she powered down at the end of that fight is explained later in the story line. But basically Elune didn't want Tyrande to meet the same end that all the other Night Warriors did, they consumed too much of Elunes power and it destroyed them. So in the end she was trying to protect her from herself and her rage.

  5. Fun Fact: Of all the heroes and powerful characters who willingly leapt into the Maw to find Anduin, Tyrande was the most fearless. Everyone else was intimidated and fearful of the Maw, rightfully so, because it’s basically the Hell of the Warcraft universe. Tyrande as the Night Warrior jumped into the Maw with the single goal of finding and killing Sylvanas. She cleared a bloody path through the Maw to track Sylvanas down, and even the agents of the Jailor, who never before knew fear, suddenly feared Tyrande and her power. The giant creature that she slays at the start of this cinematic is called a Terragrue, and it is the strongest minion of the Jailor. It endlessly stalks the halls of Torghast, and is too strong to defeat outside of being a raid boss. Tyrande’s power as the Night Warrior is so strong that she was about to go supernova and blow up all of Ardenweald just to make sure Sylvanas stays dead. This is why Elune held Tyrande back, because Tyrande would be more useful to Elune alive.

  6. Nah, in the past Sylvanas has used duel long daggers when she needed to do close combat melee. So It's not an arrogance thing, it's cannon. But it was interesting to hear your thoughts on the fight.

  7. Ardenwield zone have the same "elven" estetique as Teldrassil (Darnassus and the starter area for elves), Darkshore, Moonglade, Ashenvale and other elven zones, infused with the emerald dream and whisps. Often you can hear the extrordinary beaitiful humn from Enya in these zones.

  8. what is your oppinion from a writers perspective? the majority of the "comunity" sais, shadowlands story wouldve been utterly dogshit, senseless, boring, and bad. and too cosmic-y which somehow is too remote for these people who mayhap also dont stray further from their home as they can throw a rock . . .

  9. I believe her moon powers were taken because when the land was in danger Tyrande chose to chase Sylvannas and not protect the land the moon or Elune favors. Elune has always favored the Night Elves.

  10. I always thought it was because tyrande went for the more time consuming "choking" when the "buff" only appears to last a few seconds. Which makes sense, there's only a moment between waxing and waning where elunes power it at its maximum.

If she had gone straight for the kill instead of taking the time to savour it, she probably would have won.

Also weird choice, choking someone who can't breath already.

  11. Elune normally sacrifices "The Night Warrior" when they make that bargain. In this case, Elune does not want Tyrande to die by letting the power consume her. Elune is a two-phase goddess, her bright side is life and renewal, her dark side is death and wrath.

  12. Just been looking to see if you’d watched it, but I can’t find the ardenweald cutscene/cinematic Ysera’s rebirth(shadowlands) , that and the legion cutscene/cinematic ysera’s death always make me cry.

  13. Elune is a god, Elune knew that Sylvanis was needed in the future in order to save the condemned night elves in torghast from the burning of teldrassyl. That is why elune did not let tyrande kill sylvanis
