What makes Draka's new position so amazing is her backstory.
She was not born a warrior, she was born weak and brittle. But only through overcoming gread trials did she become the warrior that Durotan married.
Everything she has, she has earned with her own hands.
The 4 joinable realms of the shadowlands have a pretty clear ladder of hierarchy.
The Kyrians of Bastion (the blue angels)
Their Leader: The Archon
Her greatest: The Paragons (of Purity, Courage, Humility, Wisdom and Loyalty)
Their generals: The Hands of …
The Maldraxxi (The zombies)
Their Leader: The Primus
His greatest: The Margraves of the 5 houses ( of the chosen, of constructs, of eyes, of rituals and of plagues)
Their generals: The Barons
Revendreth (the vampires)
Their Leader: Sire Denathrius
His greatest: The Court of Harvesters (of Dominion, of Pride, of Desire, of Avarice, of Wrath, of Envy and of Dread)
they have no right hand men.
Ardenweald (the forest dwellers)
Their Leader: The Winterqueen
Her greatest: The Court of Night (Lead by the Droman of every great tree in her zone.)

So maldraxus is kind of like the military for the shadowlands but there are things going on where people in play are turning sides and thats why they are fighting you will see as you continue the journey!
The House of Eyes was the intelligence division of Maldraxxus with spies throughout the worlds of the living as well as the dead.
The Eyes’ Margrave instantly struck me as a good man well aware he was the next target.

She was a warrior in life, but in the afterlife she has rogue abilities. Rogues as a class in WoW have the ability to stealth where they become mostly invisible and can sneak around unseen.
The Shadowlands is the realm of death and each area has their own task. Maldraxxus is the army of the Shadowlands. Bastion ferries the souls who arrive to the Shadowlands. Each areas has their role.
when Draka was surrounded, she used the Rogue ability Vanish, which allows you to go into stealth during combat for a short time, so you can turn a disadvantage into an advantage.

The fun thing about the Shadowlands is the Zones are based on the 6 Realms of Rebirth from Sanskrit/Hindu Ideas.
The God Realm is Zereth Mortis.
The Demi God Realm is Bastion.
The Human Realm is Maldraxxus.
The Animal Realm is Ardenweald.
The Devil Realm is Revendreth.
The Hungry Ghost Realm is The Maw.
Theyve hinted that the Shadowlands are changed from what they're supposed to be, the Ouroboros Symbols throughout old architecture imply that Life and death are a cycle. Yet they don't work that way when we see it in game.
She's just using vanish. It's a pretty standard rogue ability

Each branch of the Shadowlands has a function.
Bastion is for those of personal sacrifice and they are the lawkeepers. They are also the couriers of most of the dead to the afterlife.
Maldraxxsus is the army of the Shadowlands they are the defenders and we have found out the Shadowlands have been attacked before by another cosmic force, the Light.
Revendreth is the house of the fallen, the corrupt, and the selfish. This is their last chance for redemption otherwise it is the Maw for them.
Ardenweald is the land that is connected to the realm of life and nature. It is a land of rebirth and reincarnation. Ultimately it seems to be the only way to return to the mortal realms.
Then there is the Maw, it is for the lost, those corrupted beyond redemption, and the final end in most cases as it and those in it will devour what is left of your soul.
Something else to understand is the Shadowlands are without end, these 5 lands are the tiniest slice of the infinite expanse. Much is without form and we know nothing of the other places that could be a destination for other afterlives.
That ability she has is Rogue stealth. In Maldraxxus she basically changed classes, from Warrior to Rogue, serving the House of Eyes, who are spies 😛 The sound you hear is the stealth noise, every player in pvp knows that when you hear that you better prepare to defend yourself 😀

Draka growing and progressing as a character even after death was an amazing twist. It was carried out well throughout the entire expansion.
