Yes, this is a place you can visit: the grasslands of Nagrand, on Outland (the broken ruin of Draenor). The floating chunks of land are indicative of that destruction, and while Nagrand may look peaceful, it's only a matter of time before it falls apart as well , just like the rest of Outland.
The big mountain in the background is called Oshu'gun, a mountain of diamond, and the remains of the Draenei's dimensional ship when they crashed on Draenor after fleeing the Legion on their homeworld of Argus. The Orcs revere it as a place of ancestral power, not knowing that the naaru within had been injured and eventually, when their light bleeds out, they transform into a darkened naaru, a creature of void energy that becomes a vacuum of power; this one was drawing in the orcish spirits and holding them there.
Nagrand was also once the land claimed by the Warsong clan, who would patrol the grasses atop giant wolves, looking for ogres to kill. It is now home to the majority of the Mag'har orcs (uncorrupted) who live in the village of Garadar, named after Durotan's father who fell victim to the red pox, and safeguarded the quarantined victims in the village until they either got well or died. It was named after him after he fell to the plague, and is also where Thrall met one of his only remaining family members, Geyah, after the Legion reopened the Dark Portal during the BC expansion.
Thrall came here after the Legion was finally defeated, thinking that he could finally rest and be a father and husband. He'd spent so much time either fixing his mistakes as Warchief, or fighting in multiple apocalyptic events, that he was just tired of it all. Sylvanas knew that even though he didn't consider himself a savior (the playerbase calls him Green Jesus), the rest of the Horde could potentially unite behind him, so she sent Rogues to kill him before that could happen.
He's not just mourning the Horde and his son, but also his world. The dying world this cinematic happens in is Outland, the destroyed remnant of Draenor, which was destroyed by reckless sorcery.
Gal to see that you enjoy the wow cinematics, next you must see is reckoning. That one will blow you away.
i´m no martial artist, but i get the impression that the rogue fighting Saurfang overswings quite heavily which gives the chance for the counter.
"You and I, we don't get to hide" SO awesome knowing where it originated. Nice catch! 😀
If it's Ion Hazzikostas! He is the Game Director, of World of Warcraft. You have a very high level Blizzard employe on your list. That can only be good. Keep up the good work! 😀
Having watched these again and again I still get more out of them. For example I like how they start with Saurfang handling the grain for multiple reasons, but also for the same reason that I like Thrall sharpening a tool: they aren't just heroes that get put away in a box and popped out when they're needed, they do things when there's downtime (like real soldiers or real 'useful people' of all sorts) and they're competent and know what they're seeing in many situations. As somebody pointed out in an earlier reaction I watched Saurfang has no weapon in hand when he starts fighting the assassin knocks them away and blocks several blows with his bracers, not allowing the poisoned weapons to wound him. To another thing entirely: in that last bit with the sad music when Thrall realizes he must go back, then you get the chorus of voices (but not words) joining in and reminding him he is not just fighting for himself. A lot of Wow music has voices without words for that human emotion.
You may not know but his wife, Aggra, is not exactly a fragile flower of womanhood in orc form but a fierce fighter in her own right and a powerful Shaman and Farseer. She would be well able to defend herself and the children while Thrall took care of the minor inconvenience of a few assassins.
Alright, gym nerd answer RE "How much crumbly wheat does an Orc need to stay yolked". I am basing their nutritional requirements on Ronnie Coleman. His nutritional requirements at his peak is probably on the low end for an Orc's needs. In an interview Ronnie said at his peak he ate about 600g daily. 100g of wheat provides 13.2g of protein and 340 calories. An orc would need to consume 4.5kg (10lbs) of crumbly wheat every day to hit 600g of protein and 15,455 calories. I'd imagine this is quite achievable for an Orc. Given the size of them, and how active they are, this does seem low. The intake would likely have to increase by at least 30% to keep them going at their pace. At the very least this explains why Orcs are basically dedicated carnivores.
That moment of realization when Thrall understands he's being hunted is perfect. He hasn't been warchief for years, removed himself from the leadership and political spheres and relocated to another world entirely and Sylvannus STILL won't risk having him walk free. Thrall represents too much for the Horde. He's too influential and could single-handedly sway the loyalty of the Horde against Sylvannus. With the greatest war hero of their age, Saurfang, beside him, revolution is all but certain. Whether he wants to or not, this war is his and he cannot run from it. The assassins will continue and his family will never be safe until the Dark Lady is deposed
As much of a flop this expansion was for many, the cinematics were top tier
Почему он не может заткнуться хоть на секунду?

The best cinematic ever is next…
I don't know how many times I've seen this cinematic; yet it never dawned on me before just how specific the view is of that broad landscape scene matches the game layout perfectly. We don't just know it's Nagrand and what general area, we know EXACTLY where Thrall's farm is, and because there wasn't one there before, he may have built it. This Nagrand is the version from Burning Crusade. I skinned an awful lot of clefthoofs right there, and farmed motes of earth to the left and motes of shadow further toward Oshu'gun, in the background. "I'm no one's savior," is great, after we've spent years and years calling him Green Jesus (though really it should have been Green Moses).
The music is indistinguishable from the in-game soundtrack, as well, altering the key here and there, weaving together bars from different spaces in the zone. https://youtu.be/JyJ9ntYLcvc
Thrall is vastly more powerful than Saurfang. Much like Anduin in his sorrow and anger over his fight with Garrosh, he stopped using his shaman powers. He is, however, fully capable of using them should the need arise.
Let us all know what server you'll be on.
The choreography of the rouge is the same in game. My second ever character is an assassination rouge. The attack from above looks like the move "Death from Above" which was removed from the game during one of the recent talent revamps.
The grain crumbling, a symbol of death. In the hands of the Orc that would die.
Love these! Do you also plan on doing reactions to the Shadowlands cinematics?
IDK why he said it, but Phil said Thrall was on Draenor. I thought it was Kalimdor, which has rolling plains, and orcish farmsteads, and Saurfang comments about this world, and he was just in Azeroth with the king. Draenor makes no sense in context of the film. I could be wrong. do the floating islands only happen on Draenor?
For the cosplay, I think a Illidan and Sylvanas power couple is in order here.
@25:02 For the Horde!!!
One of my favorite little tidbits in this is that when Saurfang hits the rogue and they become visible, it makes the same sound as the in-game invisibility noise lol. Thought that was neat.
Woahhh wait Ion gave you codes to the game? Hot damn you drew some attention! xD
