HEY EVERYONE! I'm live streaming RIGHT NOW reacting to MORE WoW cutscenes and cinematics! https://youtube.com/live/torndbiPeUs?feature=share
For a game that's been around for almost 20 years, there is LOT to unpack in terms of lore, backstory, and how it's been developing so far. Personally, I have played World of Warcraft since 2010 when Cataclysm had just been released. Even when I took breaks from the game, I still tried my best to keep up with what's being updated and added into the game by the developers. I think my favorite expansion thus far, at least for me personally, would have to be the Warlords of Draenor, Legion, and Dragonflight expansions because of how story-driven they are and how they tie heavily into the already established lore of the series itself.
14:35 This is all one continuous storyline. You as the player character are a part of the game story from the very beginning and are revered as either the Horde's or the Alliance's champion because of this by the time you reach present-day with the Dragonflight expansion and later on with the newest one coming out in December 2024, the War Within and the World-Soul Saga following it.
One of my favorite characters out of the entire series is Illidan Stormrage, also known as the Betrayer. He is featured in Warcraft 1 through 3 during the 1990's and is the main antagonist in the Burning Crusade expansion (He's the dude who did the voiceover for the cinematic and also the one with the horns and wings at the very end of the video), and he's also featured HEAVILY in the Legion expansion due to the introduction of the Demon Hunter hero class, who are called the Illidari. The Illidari are trained and taught by Illidan himself to fight against the forces of Kiljaeden, Sargeras, and the Burning Legion itself (who are the ACTUAL antagonists of the entire Warcraft series).
There are many books that go into a deeper dive into the story and many Warcraft veterans would definitely give more insight as well than what I just did. Hope this helps at least a little bit :D!
You watched one of the more janky and incomplete compilations iv ever seen lol, the fact that Old Soldier wasnt included was criminal in its own right, but you only got a tiny fragment of the in game animations.
It's crazy how much story this one actually skipped over. From the shadowlands cinematic he missed basically the whole expansion worth of story and cinematics. No old soldier, No raid ending cinematics, no patch trailers, etc. Granted we would be here for 4 hours with every single thing they've ever made in one video.
Everyone quit after cataclysm. When pandas came out. Pandas are gay
next one is War whitin and U should watch IT 🙂 Sylvanas story whit Anduin and U will learn mate
pls do next and TAG ME bro
It was a bear….with a HAT!
Kung-Fu Panda was based on the Pandarens from Warcraft blizzard did it first ironically not many people know that!
Illadin is voiced by liam o'brien. You are asking a lot of questions the couldve been answered by watching the cinemas of the preceeding dacade's worth of games warcraft 1 and 2. also youre watching an incomplete compilation. for instance…My boy arthas is the darth vader of wow. Also, its not that guy. Sourfang is also not thrall. Thrall isnt his son no. His son was killed during the wrath expansion. The lich king you see in the shadowlands expac cinematic is a different person. It was Arthas Menithil in the Wrath expansion but after Tyrion defeated the lich king Bolvar took up the mantle to keep the world safe from its power. A lot pf the things yoire missing are in cinematics the compilation youre watching jist omits a lot of them.
This was an overall good representation of WoW lore but so much was lost. For example, they didn't include the cinematic with Varian dying. They also didn't include how the Alliance in Legion felt that the Horde had abandoned them when in actuality they'd aborted the fight because their Warchief had taken a mortal blow. There is so much they left out.
I mean, try to find the cinematics for Arthas where he's seduced into becoming the Lich King and eventually killing his own father. If you watch those and THEN watch the WotLK cinematic it makes what his father is saying more impactful.
People can complain about overall gameplay but the stories told in the trailers and in game cinematics are priceless.
If you're really interested in the lore, I highly recommend Accolonn and Nobbel. They have the best understanding of WoW lore out there.
I quit wow during cataclysm but at least up to that point there's a lot more 'you got it' than the opposite. blizzard makes incredible cinematics and the fact that you get most of it is a win for their studios.
23:34 this is my favorite part to see black american reactors react to… because of the perspective they have of the historical slavery thing…then that 'we will never be slaves' line is followed immediately by the horror of the the "we will be the slavers" context of the next line… ya the orks aren't the good guys. it hits so fvck'n hard i love it.
"And all will burn beneath the shadow of my wings."
Deathwing is my favorite warcraft character, period
"That dude is so cool, I don't even know what his name is!"
That panda was named Chen Stormstout and he's a fuckin bro.
If only this game was even a fraction of the cinematics and the story…
Bear in mind that first cinematic is 2004 and still holds up 19 years later.
It's crazy to see grown ass mmo players that have no clue what wow lore is. Enjoy my man, it was a trip. Modern stuff is a bit meh but the lore books are great.
If you're looking to come play, join the Season of Discovery Server Chaos Bolt, Go Join Horde, and seek out the Funeral Pyre
its kinda cringe to watch somethign that i played since its beginning to somebody who doesnt know that this supreme game exists !
This lost so many cinematics that are important. Neat to watch the reactions though.
Is a new trailer as well for next expansion. The war within
Your reaction to the wrath of the lich king was so super f'ing amazing.
There are certainly character that are in all theses expansions. Of course many die off. But yes, it is continuous imo.
No wrath gate or Broken Shore cinematic. Sadge
God fucking damnit i miss Varian AND Vol'jin.
Clicked for the content. Stayed for the voice.
There is so much missing, like literally
Garrosh did nothing wrong.
This is missing soooo many cinematics that makes everything make sense lol
The video is missing a few of the Saurfang cinematics before the war in Lordaeron. They should have been played before 40:37.
Google "Battle for Azeroth: Varok Saurfang's Mak'gora".
Can definitely tell you're a FF player since you got a boner about the Panda. The lamest expansion they ever made.
Oh man… you missed so much. There are quest lines that lead to some of the most heart wrenching events in the game.. like the bombing of Theramore Isle.
The sanctity of a Mak'Gora MUST be upheld. It is a 1v1 to the death. No magic. Only martial prowess. Using magic is against the rules and seen cowardly. So when Sylvannas used magic to kill the High Overlord, she instantly lost.
Nice Content thx bro
I feel bad for some people who watch this thinking they are watching them in order when in fact they aren't.
12:30, where you would just give up, I would simply intervene
Things are missing in between. Wrathgate betrayal, defeat of the first Lich King Arthas and Bolvar taking his place. Garrosh using the heart of Y'Shaarj etc.
fan of cut scene the game watches cut scenes from a better game
This missed some key cutscenes forsure!
The Panderia trailer is what made me get into WoW. Luckily my wife (gf at the time) had it and I played it non stop for years.
There is a movie
I don't even play anymore haven't since BFA… But gerosh did nothing wrong.
i think your brain is full off sirup, because you havent played the game.
I feel absolutely furious over the fact that the compilation author literally skipped mulitple of absolutely amazing cinematics… Blasphemous…
WotLK cinematic is best Blizzard ever created, everything so good, best character, story, music, artstyle
So glad he loved MoP
WOW used to have great cinematics, and that used draw me in but the game never really matched those FMVs.
Guild Wars 2, definitely didn’t spend the money on cutscenes but they made up for it in gameplay.
the funny part is this cutscenes only work if you know warcraft 3 lore a bit
there is otherwise nothing to spoil cause blizzard doesnt know how to write stories and characters into their expansions. They continually feeds of of nostalgia and if you dont have that what are you even playhing no?
Idk what criteria they used, but this compilation is missing like 60% of the in game cinematics and trailers.
