good to have a progression system that you actually earn by doing Torghast and not the maw, they really need to add like 5-6 times the anima powers for it to be a really fun piece of content though.
Yeah there are some new bells and whistles, but it seems to be about the same type of Torghast experience we currently have. Hopefully, there are better rewards to compel you to run Torghast in 9.1
I just played this on PTR and it feels very janky. It feels so bad attempting to choose Anima powers as the meter depletes. Also, the souls with extra chains take long enough that you end up losing score for freeing them. Then, there's the RP of the NPCs you free. You don't want to leave or you'll waste time coming back for the power (or lose the power). Also, when you're fighting floor bosses, you can spend quite a while without a kill or freed soul, so the net gain in score is almost 0. It just makes no sense as a speed-based challenge. I hope this will get a lot of design attention, instead of ending up like the Maw.

Well it looks kinda good. But I believe the gameplay wasn't that big problem with Torghast. The problem was, that why would anyone do Torghast besides for soul ash to upgrade legendary, and when I had legendary I wanted and upgraded I never had to come back again. The Torghast needs rewards, transmog sets, weapons, mounts, pets, toys, why not give it the same amount of rewards the islands had?
Blizz seem to think that making things more annoying = fun ?????
So now you can sometimes get no final boss and just a regular floor on 6th?
