  1. So for Destro I went Kyrian- reason being is then i dont have to take soul conduit talent but could take instability (3min cd) for the +30% crit to increase my chaos bolt dmg, combined with Rain of Chaos you spam tons of chaos bolts because each infernal, and generally within that 30sec you will have 3-5 infernals, generates 1 soul shard per 0.5sec. And if you have the "each soul shard you spend reduces Summon Infernal by 1.5sec" legendary you can get Summon Infernal down to about 2:15 to 2:30 cd, almost lining up with the Instability cd. Scouring Tithe is also transferred by Havoc so what happens on two targets is you press Havoc & Scouring Tithe, one dies- you get 5 soul shards, and then you spend 4 shards on 2 chaos bolts and the other target dies giving you another 5 free soul shards. This tactic works really good on Huntsman Altimor, giving you free 5 soul shards when each of the ads die (Margore, Barghast, and Hecutis)

  2. Another massive issue with night fae is just the soulbind power’s synergy with all these classes’s insane burst. Free crit on pull and free damage on pull + massive burst spells (convoke, wild spirits) just makes it too juicy

  3. Might be unpopular opinion but the covs actually made me take a break from wow, the classes I played got stuck with covs that I felt didn't fit them, it really bucherd my fantasy, and before anyone says anything, I play for 2 reasons, to be good, and to feel good on my class, and forcing me into a role to be good, while hurting my vison of my fantasy, made me take a step back. I actually loved the idea of covs at first, now…..eh I wish it was just cosmetic. Just my opinion

  4. your aside regarding the rate we earn anima really summed up my feelings perfectly! I'd love to get some of my Covenant T-mog or even just upgrade my transport network, but the queen's conservatory just takes soooooo much anima to upgrade, and the mission table is a constant drain that feels mandatory. an easier way to get another 1000 anima a week (or more!) in addition to existing methods wouldn't go amiss.

  5. FYI most rogues started as Kyrian which was shortly mega nerfed. Kyrian is currently only good as Outlaw since you can always easily hit the anima charged combo point. Subtlety rogues on the other hand randomly (within 5 melee swings) generate an extra combo point making it very easy to miss and results in a big loss in dps. NF is the way to go if you enjoy all rogue specs. The Kyrian representation is Outlaw and people like me who cba to reroll lol

  6. For the BloodDK i think Kyrian is popular for gaining access to the 3 Vials from the steward as it provides a decent extra self heal and can be used on certain Bleeds to dodge tank swap mechanics

  7. I think soul binds play a big part. Venthyr only just got a second potency this week while Night Fae had it on like week 6 or something. The other factor for some classes is that if everything else is even for mythic raiding, the Kyrian covenant is the only one with a really valuable signature ability (maybe NF for some classes too).

  8. Blizzard did not really work covenants well, NF is like only covenant that seems to be well designed for a majority of classes. Rest are niche for some classes and the covenant limits spec play. Horrible design concept when you look at how they Implemented the system. I would prefer covenant linked to spec maybe, that would be pretty cool.

  9. Could someone help me out here? I'd like to make a Necrolord alt, so I was wondering what class has the best Necrolord class abilities across the different specs. The ability would have to be pretty decent and pretty fun to play for pretty casual content (up to +10 mythics, some heroic bosses, a bit of pvp) for as many of the specs as possible (I don't really care about the class fantasy). I've been looking at priest for this, but I'd like to collect some more opinions on the matter.

  10. Frost DK here (yea, those rare peeps). I absolutely chose Venthyr at the beginning of the expac purely for the aesthetic, and in the beginning I wasn't seeing a lot of difference with my DPS. I've switched recently to Night Fae because my sims were saying it is a 10,5% increase overall, which was better than Venthyr and Necrolord. So uh yea.. most of my character are already in NF because it's their best covenant, and for the fantasy it brings, I hate it for DK, but 10% especially for a struggling spec is too vital, and it bothers me 🙁

  11. Personally aesthetic mattered a lot to me in my choices. Especially with my main the kul tiran necrolord Druid. I just love the necro-Druid aesthetic. I also despise nightfey for being responsible for ursoc’s erasure.

  12. It's cool to see what covenants people are using in raids. I want to like Necrolord but I really hate Fleshcraft's channel. I'm hoping that gets changed or reduced way down at some point. That would definitely make it easier to pick. It's also possible that Night Fae gets nerfed some, which would shake things up. Thanks!

  13. Regarding DK covenant choices, althought venthyr is the best for tanking its also the best overall DK covenant so for DK’s who play multiple specs its the best choice, its number 1 for tanking but solid number 2 for frost and unholy. There are builds adapted to venthyr such as frost with breath of sindragosa or unholy with unholy blight. If DKs wanna mix things up and be a jack of all trades id suggest venthyr.

  14. I think people who will play frost dk (as an example) are already a portion of the population who are ok with not optimizing (otherwise they would be unholy), so it makes sense their covenant choice would not follow bis as closely as unholy.

  15. So locks use NF for the dot and the passive from Niya that gives 8 stacks (200 mastery) on use of the covenant ability. It's an automatic 15% (or so) mastery which is in turn a flat 15% damage increase to every ability we actually use. Kirian is another good choice I suppose, but I wish the other options were a little more usable.

  16. I feel that they need to buff the other covenants, there is a lot of specs and classes on Night Fae, even Warlocks go Night Fae unless you are demo and you have another option and go necrolord. I don't know I feel they need to buff a little bit more the other covenants

  17. I was a Venthyr Resto Shaman because I wanted to offspec my all-time favourite spec Enhancement, which has finally be restored to something that resembles what I enjoyed in WoD (which was my most active expansion and the first expansion where I did Mythic raiding in all current tiers since my introduction to raiding in SoO). I am Necrolord now though. My Enhancement hopes have been thrown in the bin. While Venthyr was absolute king as Resto in M+ the power of Necrolord in Mythic raid progression has converted me. And Necrolord Enhancement is just absolutely atrocious. I'd rather never touch my most favourite spec (theme-wise and gameplay-wise) than to be submitted to Necrolord Enhancement gameplay.

That said though: I am totally for sucking corpsejuice to empower me, I love the spikey dragon wing covenant cloak and Primordial Wave for both Elemental and Resto is an absolute blast to play with (pun not intended). Venthyr theme and cosmetics weren't quite my style anyways. Though I am still jealously side-eyeing the transmog from Kyrian and Nightfae and the mounts and other costmetics from Ardenweald are probably my favourite for my cute lil' Ghost Raptor. Just wish Enhancement hadn't been dealt such a horrible hand with the covenant abilities.

  18. Night fae Monk and night fae Enhancement shaman, my two mains. I guess I'm playing the game on hardmode, although I would say that the shaman night fae skill is just really unexplored by the community, the burst is insane. Also the Kyrian picks for tank is more due to the phial in some cases imo.

  19. collecting anima is brutal. Regarding mythic and covenant choice, I think there was a lot more covenant balance represented at the MDI, where it looks like they can choose covenants at will.
