Gearing Up a Fresh 60 In Shadowlands [Zero to KSM Ep#2]

Read more about Shadowlands ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.tv

World of Warcraft can be an intimidating game, and much of the content in Shadowlands assumes you’ve been playing for years and know the ins and outs. In this video I start fresh from a new level 60 and walk you through the journey of pugging my way up becoming a better mythic+ dungeon healer.

I aim to create high level, yet easy to understand content for healers in M+ keystones for current World of Warcraft and into the new Shadowlands expansion. If you have any feedback, questions, or ideas for new videos – I’d love to hear it in the comments.

  1. I stopped playing wow quite a while ago. I do miss running keys in the same way one misremembers a bad relationship after it’s over lol. I do actually miss watching your videos though so I’m back to help support Growl. Hope you’re well Growl.

  2. "They play how they're gonna play, we're just going to do our best."
The most important takeaway for anyone pugging, and a lesson that's taken me far too long to take to heart.

  3. I don’t want to give you more work but it might be good to do this series with all the healers.

Just I imagine next expansion ¼ of the stuff will be different for each spec.

    Always solid as always.

  4. How to skip that Mists of TS pack at 13:28 :
    – Demon Hunter uses Imprison which reduces aggro range to 0 so should not end up in combat.
    – Hunter uses Frost Trap then passes mob first and feign death once everyone is past.
    – Mage uses Polymorph then passes the mob first and uses Invisibility to drop combat after everyone has gone past.
    – Monk uses Paralyse and bumps mob away with Ring of Peace.

    – Priest uses Mind Soothe to significantly reduce aggro range.
    – Rogue has Shroud or Sap.
    – Shaman could Hex but doesn't have anything to drop combat.
    – Warlock can do a skip with Demonic Gateway that takes some practice.
That's all I can think of, any I missed?

  5. What's even the point of normal dunngeons, you can't learn anything and the gear is pretty much useless? Even on a fresh character you would have enough gold to get some profession gear for easy ilvl or alternatively you would get catch up items in korthia and go straight into m+.

  6. Thanks for giving me a nice way to pass some time at work today! I wasn't feeling this video as much as the first one. Maybe it's the editing, or rather…the lack of editing. Nothing really happened in these dungeons (no deaths, no truly scary situations, no party drama, not even the tanks leaving the group on specific bosses!) so things felt kind of slow, kind of like it was just an extension of the previous part vs. a new episode. That isn't necessarily a bad thing because it may be helpful to folks brand new to healing, but I'm over here hoping desperately for some juicy stuff.

It's always interesting to see things from the Horde perspective since I prefer Alliance. My main in normal dungeons at 60 just sees a bunch of leavers (tank didn't get the memory they wanted) which is very frustrating, but I've noticed you haven't had that problem yet. I'm jealous of those insta-queues, but not enough to go Horde. Very much looking forward to how the M+ scene varies between factions, too.

Also, a couple of small things! You say nobody really talks in these dungeons, but you don't either. I just found that a little funny. 😛 Also, am I blind or did you never actually release your Fae Transfusion healing? Not that there were many opportunities to showcase its healing properties (not much damage going out!) but I'm hoping we'll get to see it soon. I mean, I know it's great, but I'm secretly hoping it'll save the day in one of your runs or something so that other people can see how useful it is. 🙂 I was also wondering what time of day you filmed most of this? Was it during peak server times in the afternoon or in the mornings? I feel like time of day can be a huge factor in getting into groups (obviously there are more groups going in the afternoons/evenings than at 8am) and think that information would be really useful to the series!

Keep up the good work, looking forward to Ep. 3!

  7. I love how on one end he's telling you what you should watch out for, and trying to help a new healer but the problem is this late in the xpac lol everyone's just face rolling everything even undergeared lol but hey always fun to watch growl! 🙂

  8. I know everything is already recorded but it would be really beneficial to go to korthia/assaults/worldbosses for some catchup gear. Grinding normal dungeons for gear to get to heroic dungeons for gear to get to mythic and then m+ is a real grind. In my experience lower dungeons are just too faceroll and nothing really deals any significant dmg untill above the +7 mark. That said when this series starts uploading videos with 2-3 runs in higher keys I´m gonna absolutely love it.
