My leveling pathing included taking the boat from booty bay to rachet then traveling through thousand needles to get to tanaris, then getting some lvls at gadgetzan,
Try a nice stroll from stormwind to teldrasil so i could get exhalted with the night evles to ride the tiger mounts at level 10 lol lots of dying 😅 the wetlands were terrible all the animals
I still do it now, the game devs put so much work and detail into the world we just zoom through. There's a ton of fun stuff to find. Im actually leveling a toon right now, no quests, no flight paths, no traveling on mounts, only selling to vendors in towns, hearth stays in the tauren starting village. I got a 57 warrior on that journey.
I have been playing WoW for 19 years. I am 29. That's exactly what it was back in the day. Except you had to fight the whole way there because you aggroed everything from so far away.
I have taken to using ground mounts again because I miss seeing the world from the ground. Sure, it takes a while to get places however, the beautiful journey you get to have is worth the time investment.
Meanwhile, tbc players would still ne using the 60% mount because the 100% mount was stupid expensive and only the people who knew how to AH would have them
Wait until you get the legendary quests that take you from silithis to dead wind pass
Loooool. My guy doesn't know the first 20 levels in classic. Running from the troll starting zone to the barrens took 15 minutes. 😊
I find myself absently trotting about on my mount just to remind myself of how things used to be.
No back in the day you'd walk on foot for hours, then when you finally hit 20 to buy a mount you couldn't afford it anyways.
Nice peaceful trot from point A to point B.Then came the rogue from outa nowhere : )
Is that mammoths ass clapping what that sound
It was World of Walking
Was way more fun u would meet people and do stuff in group and all

It was peaceful. It was a very different game.
It was far more 😅
Yes. We walked.
That's what the number lock key was for.
Good old days

You need to play turtle wow on HC mode… 😅
The stormwind tanaris run on foot back in the day was a very nice time to take a shower and touch some grass
i remember. it was disgusting.

Yeah you used to actually have to think about where you were going instead of mindlessly flying over the terrain.
Still do cause retail sucks 😂
It made pvp more fun, and you didn’t just randomly get jumped from the sky.
Yeah I'm old. Now try to imagine everquest travel.
Meanwhile, tbc players would still ne using the 60% mount because the 100% mount was stupid expensive and only the people who knew how to AH would have them
BAM rogue pops you. Now run back to body from GY and continue your journey.
Oh sweet summer child… You have a super fast mount…
This is part of what made classic classic. 60 percent mount speed. Until you dropped a shit ton of cash to get 100 percent.
Yes. Took 20 mins to get from darnassus to ratchet and I did not regret any of it
Please. You're riding at 100% bonus speed.
