I. FREAKING. LOVED. IT! There was an "easy" way to defeat it and as soon as you did understand that, you were the hero in your guild. 😂 At least that happend to me.
One of the best mechanics they introduced. You gotta farm the rep to get the key or pay off some rogues to open the doors. Man, i feel so old while relapsing in these memories 🥲.
There was a funny time in history where I could solo the chess event (not during Burning Crusade) but I could not beat it with 2 friends in the group with me.
My brother and I created a guild called the Karazhan Chess Club and we would clear to this event and then just play chess on it for hours with like 5 others
Legends could solo it, I've witnessed with my own eyes, Korsakov wherever you are bro, thanks for that chess, I've used the boots we get for a long time
Kara was my first raid. I was such a noob, I didn't even know raids existed. Those reigns dropped from that guy in the stables at the start, too. I had no idea why everyone was losing their minds.
What people don’t know is that the developer of the encounter was a very big fan of harry potter and he read the books and saw the movie and created this as a easter egg
Sad they never did anything event sort of like this in a raid since where there's a spin on a traditional game all because people don't know how to play Chess.
Chess Illiteracy Awareness Millenia – A movement I could get behind.

I loved Kara and this fight the most

This was such a s cool fight.
the item level difference in loot isn't surprising. Loot item level variances wasn't introduced until Ulduar with Hard Mode.

Its a fun one. I usually solo or duo it though. I can only imagine how fun it would be with a full party

It was fun
I knew this!!!! I still remember when we first made it to cheese event! It was so new and unique. We died lol
Back when WoW still had creativity behind it…better times
When you got the tanking sword, you were the shit 😎😎😎

Aww man that raid was awesome…
WoW went the creative art way selling "nft" and made gameplay bit bland.

Been broken and unable to progress past this ever since.
Kara was awesome the changing play in opera was super fun
Karazan was my favorite raid
Man, that was my fav fight other than the undead rogue, loved tanking him.
You said unique when you meant shitty
karazhan chess event is the only raid in the game that didn't care what level/class you were to be able to complete it which was awesome
