  1. Metagoblin did a bot expose last year iirc. It showed massive flatscreens divided into a shitload of of wow playing. And then you see 4 or 5 screens full of bots. Controlled from a master panel. And person doing a shift in the bot farm.

In some cases buying into a bot farm is like taking out a franchise. All your training, gear and software purchased from specific "franchise" suppliers.

  2. On SoD new accounts had a no AH/mail access for what 20, 30 day probation. I still game on a locked SoD realm so don't know if the new player probation is still in effect on SoD's megarealms.

Does a wow token system help any at all with negating the bot profitability on a server? Sour the milk and they'll go elsewhere kind of thing.

  3. Drug dealers are powered by greed. If they knew botting. They would be doing both. Crime isn't a this or that. It's as much as you can grab from everywhere.

Bots diversify across different gaming platforms. Organized crime is the same manner. Alternate routes of cash to insure against rainy days.

  4. Ive botted in wow to make gold for myself before. Came to the conclusion its actually cheaper to buy it from these guys than bot it myself because leaving my PC on all night costs more than the gold, let alone the software.

  5. If blizzard made the price of a token the same as what bots regularly sell for gold for rather than shafting you for less gold, there wouldnt be a bot problem.

People would buy legit gold to not risk a ban.

Now this isnt me saying the token is good, its just the lesser of two evils.

  6. they never gona shot people, because mafia dont want to do something that the police would be involved in. Think about it, those mafia make a ton of money without fear of police. threats are the worst they can do to make people quit exposing them.

  7. 33% of their revenue at blizzard, comes form bots account. That is just sub fee's alone. We arent counting purchases of the products for retail bots. That is why it "Appears" that blizzard is so far behind in getting rid of them. They have no real desire to do so. Everytime there is a "banwave". Its just blizzard giving you a tiny slice of happiness. When all along they are ignoring thousands upon thousand of other bots. The reason "We cant get rid of all the bots" is because the company responsible for getting rid of them, isnt actually trying to do so.

  8. Savix don't dogpile on the guy who cheated buying those greens at level 10. People take this way too personal and serious. How would you feel if you did something kind of dumb and realized after backlash how bad of an idea it is because nerds can't stop taking pixels so seriously?

  9. asmon gold is crazy stupid, how the HELL can he not see why a company wouldnt want to unalive someone because they were hurting their company… BECAUSE IF THEY GET CAUGHT THEY GO JAIL FOR LIFE MAYBE, and it would be OBVIOUS as hell if it was somthing like this…. the fact he didnt think of any of this stupidly obvious stuff, then says what HES saying is obvious is baffling
