Really wanted to alt arcane in SL, but removing displacement and changing shimmer along with the 3 CD Change completely changes the feel, I liked being a mobile hard to catch glass cannon
They need to put more damage into filler spells like frostbolt, incinerate, lightning bolt, it's disgusting how they hit, makes no sense to Cast 1,5 sec to hit like a wet noodle
I am so happy that everyone thinks arcane sucks along with the rest of the mage class.
i honestly think that arcane mages needs the mark of aluneth spell as well. and also their spells needs to be buffed to be more powerful. tehy need at least 7% damage buffs. AP should remain just as in BFA, Shimer needs to stay as a baseline spell, with displacemnet.

Squishy classes needs more mobility, tanky classes needs less. Wtf is this 🙁 They can't go live with all that blink changes.,….
Mage = 1 blink
Rogues = 2 Shadowsteps and 1 sprint
Warrior = 2 charges 1 leap
Pally = 2 freedoms 1 sprint.
DH = bruh

I'd wish they gave arcane mage a different aoe ability. Or maybe make arcane explosion explode at target. Makes kiting more possible.
Without 2 charge shimmer and displacement I don't like this class anymore, and it makes me feel cheated out of the hundreds of hours I put into it. Arcane used to feel fun and free like playing Tracer in Overwatch, now it's…just I can't. I can't love it like this. I want to play alts but too many classes are being destroyed for me to be able to.

as arcane mage im still worried , lack of cleave or ranged AOE is what bother me the most ,3 min AP? come on now , and the opener is like 12(9) seconds of doing nothing but buffs….ugh

I'm returning to the game for Shadowlands and can't decide between boosting a mage or warlock to 110.
Its really fucking stupid seeing all the melee classes get mobility on mobility to sit on faces but ranged classes that literally melt are losing mobility

Then I'm done… I've mained Arcane Mage since WotTLK… Arcane is a dead spec now. Maybe, Covenant-Tower-Legendary etc. power-ups can fix it but without displacement, Arcane can't be played… The one and only thing I like about arcane mage in this patch, is mirror image power-ups… Arcane mages will have lots of mirror images. So for solo content, things will be easier. But especially in pvp arcane seems to be a dead spec.
how are you casting frostbolt while moving?
I've ALWAYS mained arcane but have been forced to be Fire because of the terrible way Blizzard has treated Arcane. Was hopeful Shadowlands would do something to bring me back.

This is so annoying. When I played wow back in the day like classic era my main was warrior and they were considered weak. So this time around (just started back up about 2 months ago) I chose a mage cause they were always regarded so high for damage back in the day. And this happens…
Tbh they just have to make all casts of the mage walkable. So the charge of the skill won’t break while walking…..
I love frosties but I need to get the basics of proxes and stuff first. I'm 50s and don't have glacial spike yet.
I want to play Wow for the first time, i want to play mage/warrior, i dont really know how either of these classes play in the late game cause the trial is not a good depiction as to how the class will play later on, do you guys have some tips which of the 2 classes to choose? (Alliance)
