There are a ton of loregaps in wow. The real question is, when will light infused undead be a racial option or part of the undead character customization? And on the flip side it would be cool of the undead also got better zombification custom options as well. The Forsaken have needed a visual update/addons for a long time now.
Hallowfall lore gas a book that sorta "fixes" things by saying that it's very rare that cosmic forces are found pure, and beings like old gods that only use void are an exception, not a rule. So calia's ressurrection is probably the light mixed with death magic. Same with Eonar being a Titan but also heavily associated with Life, and the Arathi's Eternal Flame that seems to be Light + fire. Still, i never really got the point of having her exist as a light-infused undead in the first place. Maybe we'll see it in future expansions, as it took almost 10 years for xal'atath to become a big baddie
People never had probs when an army of Chaos led by a god of Order used the sacrificed body of some Orc to raise undead.
But when the cosmis force Light is doing it, it's suddenly a problem?
Necromancy was explained as being part of Domination Magic – and that Domination Magic isn't just some "Death" thing, but it's overall rewriting the very being of someone, what could per se be done from any PoV.
What the Light did there was simply using their "Domination Magic" to enforce what it wanted.
Pretty much tried the same with Illidan, to rewrite him into a "Good Light Boy".
In Eberron (D&D setting) there’s a faction of undead elves that are filled with Positive Energy instead of Negative Energy. They call themselves the Undying. Very similar to Callia here.
Calia helping Undersity opposition oligarchs after Greymane trying to assassinate Silvana in Stormheim.
Alliance was really f*cked up with this.
After she discover herself Anduin break the laws that restrict to use lightinfuse for reserection. Nothing hostile for Horde, right? And everyone in Alliance OK with this.
I mean after this story, they should trow they scriptrighters away.
The Light as violated the borders of the Shadowlands (Death) before. If Light is orderly and opposes chaos like fel and void, it has the motivation to be overly oppressive and screw the rules of the current cosmic "order"
Now they are gonna make a race called enlightened undead. Undead but goodlooking , just like orcs but good looking and trolls but good looking , fuck blizzard
Hey sorry to break it to you but each form of resurrection in wow is "different" and unless your character never dies your stil probably "undead". Ever drink a beer? Ever used a lock cookie? You ever drink the antimotion potion the orc sells on the train?
The desolate counsel is a disgrace to any forsaken. Im so extremely upset and calia can f*ck right off
Well to be fair the undead actually were in the ground for some years so…

Disney
Yeah no one likes this lol idk what they thought they were doing
Whitemane could revive people like they were before, but the naaru turned calia into this thing. (The naaru could not revive people before)
Ok wow lore team
WoW lore is whatever they need it to be to sell game copies even if it makes zero sense.
This is just stupid.😂
imagine how jealous regular half-rotten forsaken are 💀
How far the lore has fallen. Wotlk was the peak.

Blizzard messing up lore? No way this must be one of those once in 10 years event
(SPOILER) But the Light Undead in Hallowfall are rotting – so this might be untrue.
How she it NOT work?

Did Disney or a branch of Disney buy out Warcraft?
Would undead Caelia 🐱
The book was much better explaining how Calia became what she is now

I miss when Warcraft was just some Orcs & Humans simple Fantasy
I sounds like if you resurrect something a couple days too late but not quite into weeks yet.
That or she was pulled out of the freezer.
