There are a mountain of changes coming in Shadowlands and a few smaller ones that are going to make a big difference as the expansion progresses. One of these is how secondary stats work. Youre going to be managing your stat weights and how you sim gear slightly differently let me know what you think about these changes and if they will have a big impat on your class whilst you are adventuring in the World of Warcraft.

This is clearly pre-recorded
That was actually as funny as it was educational, so good work.
my head's mashed
Does this mean secondary stat racials that give 1% of haste, crit etc. will be more powerful as you get into higher numbers of those stats?
There's and addon you can download called "True Stat Values" which shows you how much more of a stat you can get before you hit DR.
Also just a side note you CANNOT use that wowhead diminishing returns table for mastery(at 1:39). Each spec receives a different amount of %mastery for every additional stat so its a bit more complex. For example resto shaman starts with 24% baseline mastery without any additional stats. Instead you have to look at "Mastery points" to determine your max % (or just use the above addon). Mastery points are worth 35 mastery per point(for all specs), the amount of percent change each mastery point gives depends on the spec. wowhead has a table on this page that shows the breakdown for each spec. https://www.wowhead.com/guides/how-mastery-works-world-of-warcraft
Every spec starts with 8 mastery points and can obtain an additional 30 mastery points before DR starts (max of 1050 mastery). So to see what % mastery you can reach, you multiply the percent value found on that page by 38.
